Wow. Thank you so much dear Stacy. Your tutorial video is one of the most detailed step by step ones I have seen on teaching the fundamental steps to using a rotary cutter and ruler to cut fabric for beginners. I love you go through 2 methods, mat or ruler and demonstrate a few times and different scenarios (large piece of fabric > strips> squares).

Great instructions. My first time using a rotary cutter, I was afraid to cut my fingers so I’d roll away from the ruler. After practicing quite a bit, I’m much more confident. Thanks Stacey for this tutorial. 🌸💖🌸

This is so helpful! Two years ago I started a baby Christmas quilt. At that time I became ill and had a very serious surgery. After home, I tried to cut everything out with my newly acquired rotary cutter, but had to give up because I was so unsteady. I started it again just now, and I'm dismayed to see my squares are really wobbly. I need to trim them all down to 7", so I have to carefully measure and trim them square. Now that I am well and steady again, I have enough time for him to have it this Christmas. Thank you so much for this clear and easy to grasp help

@@staceyleecreative I am thrilled to report I have recut all of the squares and I pieced them together yesterday. With your vital tutoring, they were perfect! That little baby who is now 2 years old is finally going to get his quilt this Christmas. I plan to digest all of your tutoring and be sure that my quilt turns out perfectly. Binding today!

I have struggled for a while. I think it all depends on how sharp the blade is. I have to go over and over to cut. I've just invested in a more expensive cutter, hoping that the blade will be sharp.

I think olfa is the best and you can pick them up pretty cheaply. Also it sounds like you need to press down firmer 🤗
