If you haven’t, check out The Curtain - SP with the Metropole Orkest. It is the opening piece to a suite of music called SYLVA. Written and primarily arranged by Michael League.
The "horns by itself" feeling is quintessential 1950s American big band. You'd have a TON of horns and a couple saxes, a double bassist, and a vocalist. Replace the double bassist with an electric bass and FAT synth, a vocalist with the guitar and key solos and add in strings, and now you have a fully fusion capable roster.
I went to Snarky Puppy Show in Philadelphia last Friday 4/15/2023 and it was AMAZING…especially the bass and horns! It was as if each instrument was in conversation telling each other a different story. MAGICAL!!

Great video! For some reason, the pitch is slightly up from the original.
24 vs 25 fps vs 30fps discrepancies, maybe?
The genre is Snarky Puppy
