I agree. It seems like Blizzard went out of their way to provide as little information as possible ingame. Even crucial information has to be looked up because they don't explain anything at all.
Sleep talent can also be used as a sort of "push counter" where you place him in front of your forward towers, and if a unit gets to him he will immediately wake up, seed protect the base and start fighting. Could also use this as a strat to sort of build a delayed death ball. I still think the seed talent is objectively better, but it's still fun to theorycraft ideas.
If you hide him behind the tower, you can literally watch the tower burn down while Malf stands there doing nothing. I thought he would at least drop the seeds before slumbering, instead of taking an extra second while he's under attack. So I agree. If you already took the talent, use it as a counter push instead of a passive heal. The healing is going to get nerfed, judging by all the youtubers complaining about it (though I don't see it as overpowered. If anything, it should be buffed while in slumber mode since it eliminates him as an attacker). But for anyone reading this, just don't take it. Or put it on an alt account to test and see how it works for you. I hate it, personally.
sleep malfurion is great for getting 2 mals up so they can heal each other, hide the first one but subsequent ones can be placed in front of towers/meating stones to get aggrod quickly
Malfurion already heals itself. The second Malfurion does nothing. If you place it up front and it wakes up, it will contribute the dps and the seeds, but no additional healing.
Haven't seen your video yet ... but insta-picked Healing Salve ... makes Malfurian almost unkillable in the right deck ... your video will help me pick a second talent. :)
I have been testing it, but it seems to be bugged somehow, and I have not been able to determine how exactly, so I have no clear plan how to do it quickly. People have just grinded it out.
Amazing, thanks! Does Germinate proc even if the seed was cast on a Tank mini instead of a Tower or Stone? Though I guess it would be pretty hard in practice to keep a Tank not recieving attacks for so long
I was waiting for this video! Thanks! I have a question that I don't think you answered in the video: does Germinate proc even if Malfurion has already died when those 30 seconds pass?
....you kind of need 2 active to ensure healing.........stun ceasing it is a big weakness.... (not sure if Ysera sleep also dispel it as he got a sleep talent himself)
I took the slumber talent on one account, and it's not great. It eliminates him as an attacker, and the healing (I see) is not as overwhelming as what I see in videos like this (I dont know why, that's just my experience. He doesn't make griffin riders immortal for me.) I also thought he would drop seeds before slumbering. Instead, when he wakes up, he has to take a second to do that while he's under attack. If you hide him behind the tower, you can watch your tower burn down while he stands there doing nothing. I hate it. I'm glad I took it on an alt account instead of my main.
...did you realize that he bugs if converting a meeting stone himself........losing the seed and not protecting anything¡... (unless they already fix it)
I have one tick after multiple attempts. I stopped doing those quests. I'm trying to get xp, not play a mini raid with 3 phases that takes 10 minutes. Which I probably won't even win because I suck apparently. Didn't even know I sucked until this event. Thought I was pretty good. I'm not.
I think I'm going to give up on this quest unless it gets fixed. I just did 3 attempts on the map with an unbound spam deck and got 0 ticks. I have no idea what actually triggers it.
@@StuffedVulture I have a little over fifty with less than maybe twenty attempts (clarification, for trying the quests at all). I've been getting really lucky with the blueish aura that's sometimes the reward from the presents. Pretty sure that's what 'chills' them. Edit: It also seems to have the lowest chance to appear, and you're better having it trigger on someone with staying power like a tank that can survive long enough to chill enemies instead of unbounds probably being snipped by range.
(his healing applies at -30% and has certain duration......, so if the hp don't drop to less 30% again he won't reapply(‽)........, and that's why low life minis seems like they never die they easily get to less their 30%hp if it's not a killin blow!)
Don't worry. They're going to nerf the healing to be as useless as the healing cenarious provides. The community apparently hates healers who actually heal unless they're Tryion.
Clash of Clans also makes new troops OP. So pay players level up and dominate. By the time free players get the unit it gets nerfed. Seems Blizzard learned this trick. There has to be nerf coming for Malfurion this weekend. It’s too broken.
@Kaiser is right. Most have been very underpowered. And Blizzard is well aware of that trick. In Heroes of the Storm, new heroes were almost always overpowered. And since FTP can get these new heroes quickly as well, I think it's actually a little better for new heroes to be a bit overpowered so they're more fun to use until you really learn how to play them.
The only reason to spend a dime on malfurian would be to get him to rare and epic. But like most heroes, he only has one really good talent. So what are you getting him to blue for? The extra level? Am I missing some mechanic that makes paying for a mini OP?
I don't know how this game could be playable without your videos and explanations. There is so many details that you cannot guess...

I wholeheartedly agree. Thank you OG for all these invaluable Guides!

.....always liked to use the extra 50% main target damage for huntress......and now even more with that healing.....
😌
Ths for your guides 😊

I would love a tip video on the "Chill enemy Mini with Gift effects". This one has been a slog. 1 to 3 ticks per successful run. Oof.
I have been testing it, but it seems to be bugged somehow, and I have not been able to determine how exactly, so I have no clear plan how to do it quickly. People have just grinded it out.
>:(
Malfurious isn't relaxing when he's asleep. Druids when they sleep are actually doing a lot of important work in the Emerald Dream!

It says, "as long as one seed of protection remains." So it should work if a tank has a seed. But the new seeds will only go on towers and stones.
I was waiting for this video! Thanks!

Yes, it does!
@@OldGuardian Definitely a keeper then! Thanks.

Many Thanks for the explainer 👍
Would Germinate help towers from collapsing during phase shifts, like in Siege?!
I'll probably try to test that

BROKEN
Why? Because you actually notice the healing, unlike Cenarious? Your minis are still going to die. It just takes a second or two longer.
There's no way I'm finishing the Chill quest if Blizzard doesn't fix it. I've played for hours and only have 37 ticks.
I have one tick after multiple attempts. I stopped doing those quests. I'm trying to get xp, not play a mini raid with 3 phases that takes 10 minutes. Which I probably won't even win because I suck apparently. Didn't even know I sucked until this event. Thought I was pretty good. I'm not.

If you were to guess, do you think he'll get a hot fix today before the long weekend? PvP is unbearable atm.
I don't expect one this fast, no. But the Rumble team is unpredictable.

Sleep talent means perma heal and you use a second malfurion to seed a tower

I think the infinite healing is just a bug. Most of the recent minis have been under powered. But we’ll see with the rest of the new heroes.
