I cannot tell you the elation that filled me when I saw this video. I unfortunately can't watch it right now, but I'll try getting around to it tomorrow. Thank you in advance!
wow, all of these submissions were great! kudos to these authors. your comments were also insightful and educational. this video was great to just listen to while i was cleaning. since I experienced this video as audio only, it was interesting to consider how hearing these stories/poem read out loud instead of reading them myself or seeing them onscreen impacted my reception of them
Very helpful for me even though I didn’t submit anything! You have a great eye, Rachel. And I really like everyone else’s prose, especially the last one!!
Awh dang, I had no idea you were doing these! I hope to be able to send something for the next time you do something like this! Excited to watch these. :)
Thank you so much for this video!! Very useful, very helpful. Also, I admire your experience and I have faith in you. These trying times will not go to waste.
It may be me--I've dyslexia--but I find it's nearly impossible to follow along without rewinding. The numerous edits disorient me. I wonder if an adjusted cursor size or color, or something, could allow viewers to have a more in-the-moment experience? Wonderful video so far!
hey Jake! this is true, thank you! it just takes a lot more computer power and time for me to add that cursor but if you think that would be helpful I can try that for next time! I don't think I could reduce the amount of edits though but do you think the cursor highlight would help? :)
Before you get too big and stop responding:) and I got your attention! 1 follow up for you please! - I want to submit a short story. I have to choose between CBC and Malahats open season!!! Is there an obvious choice between the two for you!?????
No I don’t but there are tons of resources on Google like this - a quick search for basic writing format 101 might yield some helpful results! Masterclass has some great articles too!
my app was on autoplay cause i was cooking, i thought it was still kris 😂 when i pulled out my phone from my pocket i was surprised it was rachel 😂 you two have similar voices like in a good way looovr you both haha 💛
Your 3 minutes housekeeping intro to this post was so long..... I tuned out. Thank the submitters. Remind viewers to be kind. State your shortcomings and goals. Edit. Move on.
Your comment on this post was so rude….. I tuned out. Thank the woman who made this video for free. Remind yourself that you are not two and this is not prehistoric times where skipping parts in videos was impossible. State your shortcomings and make a goal to stop being rude. Edit your attitude. Move on from the video instead of leaving an inane comment.
@@haleywestbrook1977 I put out a call on my community tab in December, and the writers emailed me their work! Then I critiqued it, filmed this vid as you see it, and emailed the finished critiques back to the writers who requested it!
This is so rude. My viewers sent in these submissions to be critiqued, which was much braver than leaving a comment like this. How would you feel if someone said this about your writing?

@@jelko2850 I'll try to incorporate that next time, I'd love to make this kind of vid more accessible so I appreciate the feedback! :)
Fantastic! Just got a new sub here. Question: what program are you using to edit here???
Thank you for subscribing! It's just Microsoft Word :)

Thank you, Ben!
I’m learning about scene breaks. If another character speak a new paragraph is formed. Do you have video about these kinds of transitions?

Hi Haley! The call for submissions is now closed but I hope to do another vid like this in the future!

I just started watching your vids like a few days ago so I’m new to all this lol and sad that I missed the deadline lmao
