The Germans have always named their tanks after big cats, and there aren't that many spectacular big cats... by the way, it's also a play on words... because biologically, panther and leopard are the same animal, (Panthera pardus in Latin)
Today Rheinmetall announced its plan to deliver KF51 and Lynx to ukraine. They are supposed to be build in germany and hungary and then get delivered to the ukrainian army. After the war, Rheinmetall would build a factory for the KF51 Panther in ukraine. Ukraine is obviously interested in both vehicles (russia could do nothing against them). The downside: They need the ok from the german chancelor and it would take about 15 - 18 months for the first Panthers to arrive on the ukrainian battlefield. They are optimistic however about the ok from the government. There are many reasons why, among them that the Leopard 3 project is going nowhere for years now (one of the possible reasons why Rheinmetall decided to build the KF51 on their own). If ukraine, propably the country that suffered most under the german invasion in WW2, would be willing to buy a tank named after a famous Wehrmacht tank, germany might be able to buy the KF51 as well instead of wasting time and money on the Leopard 3 without creating a public sh...t...m. And of course the Bundeswehr would see how the KF51 performs before buying them. We will see.
However, the possibility of this is quite unlikely! They even removed certain modern devices from the Leopard2A6s, they redeveloped them a bit before sending them to Ukraine, they are so afraid of their devices falling into Russian hands! At the moment, it is about Rheinmetall buying Leopard 1s from a Swiss company, refurbishing them and sending them to Ukraine... He really did not receive permission from the German leadership to export the most modern technology to Ukraine. After the war, many factories will settle in Ukraine, if the situation is orderly and stable! Currently German or Hungarian production is conceivable, the KF51 prototype was photographed at the Rheinmetall factory in Hungary a few weeks ago... (maybe there)
Anyone who knows Germany knows that by the time all the decision-making, approval and procurement processes have been completed and the first tank has joined the troops, this vehicle will be completely obsolete. By then others will probably have developed the warp drive.
The German military has just signed to order 123 new Leooopard 2A8 and Leopard 2AX. The Leopard 2A8 will be from KMW, but the 2AX will also contain manyparts of the RM Panther KF51. The tanks are sold as Leopard 2/3 from KMW/Nexter as main contractor.
Idi becomes a military expert! 😂 Your reaction and comments are good! But the video is not very truthful, more like an advertisement and not like honest characteristics! I won't bore you with the details, because you can read about it yourself. Most importantly, this tank is not even in the top five! Armata and Leopard are the best! Shall we have a competition?😁
See I told you - you will be impressed. Love and peace ♥& hugz and kisses from Germany - hope "we" almost never have to use this tank!
German press was very whiny, like "There was also a big tank called Panther in Nazi-Germany, this brings up bad memories ...." . Real cry-babies.
The Germans have always named their tanks after big cats, and there aren't that many spectacular big cats... by the way, it's also a play on words... because biologically, panther and leopard are the same animal, (Panthera pardus in Latin)
we are no cry babies, this is our media and the stupid government
Nobody said that, clown

Well you just got me curious😁😁
Ich warte auch mit Opa zusammen ... Im still waiting with my Grandpa
Correction: This DEVELOPMENT "happened", not "if this happens".... You, if you are a Country, can buy this Tank if you like...
This tank is the German answer to the Swiss Army knife - just a little bit over-engineered 🙂
As a German i get It 😂😂😂
Ja das ist so Unser Neuer Panzer Deutschland 🇩🇪
Our Bundeswehr is always made so bad... we love to be underestimated every day.
Rheinmetall & Co is the Bundeswehr, not what you hear and see on TV 😉
