Are you aware of any academic papers that analyze possible solutions for entering and exiting such tunnels?
the fact that the vehicles in the tunnels all travel at a high and same speed is a huge advantage that eliminates traffic "snakes". Google traffic snakes.

Put a couple drills on rockets and send them to Mars or the moon or a comet

We have road tunnels in Australia. Nothing new. The only new thing is musks tunnels are only for EV,s Not trucks, buses and cars.
You cannot compare a 4 metre wide utilities tunnel with a railway tunnel. But then again, don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Liked your clip a lot, keep up the good work. Maybe ditch the background music, but content was great.

Maybe we should address why humans need to leave home at all? For work? Shopping? What is it that Humans can't don't from home or that machines and AI won't be able to do? I do think personal cars and streets are highly inefficient.

Where do I begin to knock yet another grand Elon Musk concept. 1) Many people are afraid of tunnels, so making these even smaller will freak them out too much to use them. 2) How to rescue/toe some hapless soul in the middle of a tube when their "skate" breaks down. 3) What about earthquakes and blackouts? I wouldn't want to be underground when these occur. 4)Wait for it ... 6:45. We incorporate the Hyperloop into our network. Hyperloop technology still is in its infancy and yet to work as proven. Bottom line: when Musk can have millions of us whisking across country above ground at fantastic speeds reliably for a few years, then an only then should we expand into the underground scene.

Brian Brewster - only, unfortunately, when underground hyperloop network eventually are up and running everyone have their own flying car and most people work from home anyhow, plus, have a 3-D food printing machine in the kitchen so they basically do not need to go anywhere, everything can be ordered from Amazon shipping the gods by automated drones

NO tunnels..... 4 hours in traffic from work and back causes stupid humans from breeding... way better idea
