Thanks for another video! I've not used the in-town check-in in Taipei but I've used the one in HK many times. I don't know whether it's also possible in Taipei but the advantage of the HK one is that depending on the airline, you can check-in your bags up to 24 hours before. It's great if (e.g.) your flight is at night but your hotel checkout is at 12pm - get rid of your suitcase then and get your boarding pass, enjoy the rest of the day (and maybe even dinner) in the city and then jump on the train in the evening for your flight with just your hand luggage. With a boarding pass already issued, you can time the train to arrive at the airport less than 60 minutes before departure (assuming you are confident of no queues at security and immigration!).
Yes, that's a good point. I've used the HK one a few times also and it's the same level of convenience but I have not tried 24 hrs ahead of time. I will make a note to check next time I'm there.
"You must check in at Station A1/A3 more than 3 hours before your flight takes off on the day." this is what i searched for. So I think your flight and in-town check-in have to be on the same day.😉

Good to know. Thanks for the tip!
Can you use yoyo card instead of token?
I'm not too sure. Let's see if anyone else has used it recently and can comment.
Yes, yoyo cards(easy card) can be used on the Taoyuan Airport MRT.
