Mekong River Floating Market - Don't do what we did!!
Thanks for sharing all the good foods. We are planning to go to Ho Chi Minh for 8 days & wanted to go to Phu Quoc for 3 days 2 nights in October. We wanted to book tours online but their websites are not very good. Do you know any good travel agency online you would recommend? Or can we book the tours when we are in Saigon? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
We like Lily's travel. They are based on Hanoi but can help you to arrange tours in other cities also. maps.app.goo.gl/pBAbSD2WhELpca1G6
@@ChasingtheSunVlog thank you for your reply!
Great review. Thanks.
what if your phone only has one e-sim, my iPhone 14 only has esim and I'm from the US. What do you recommend
Usually, there would be a physical sim slot. If so, you can purchase a physical sim when you're there.
Thai drive licence is ok ?
I'm not too sure about that. You probably would still need an International Driver's License.
I am going to stay in Vietnam for 2 days. Any recommendations for sim card?
Anyone the major service providers will do, like Viettel
🌹👍
i love this bike,,but i.m por mean😭😭😭😭
Great, thanks.
Great video and recommendations I'm flying into saigon in few days Thanks
Glad you like it. You're going to have so much fun!
Hi! Do you still have the contact informatino for your photo walking tour? Thanks.
No sorry. But if you look through the Airbnb app for experience, there will be lots.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog thank you. Are these expersive though?
No, mine was reasonable.
great review. Took my '06 R1200RT for a 2800 mi. trip and it was wonderful. Cruised (well) above posted limit signs on state highways. handled great and the cruise control worked flawless. I agree , better than ST1100.
Yes, much sportier than the ST
you can only rent a 50 cc bike without a license
How would i get a motocyle lisence? in vietnam
I'm not sure. I usually come with my own international driver's license. You have to get this from your home country before you leave.
What camera do you use for v,logging, it look good! you should vist Nha Trang
I have a GoPro, an insta360, and a Samsung smartphone

Hello, please share the name of banh canh place. Thx
There are many places in Danang for this. The one that we went to is called Bánh Canh Bà Sen
nice review, thanks. good to hear thoughts from a 'normal' biker instead of journo/pro rider. nice real world comments. thinking seriously about getting one of these
Glad it helped. Let us know if you end up getting one.
Nice video. But now you need to come back to Washington to ride the best road...highway 20, the North Cascades Route. Known as the American Alps. Cheers.
Yes! Going to Winthrop is one of my favorite local rides.
hi liked your video, have a question. can i change my port of exit from danang to hanoi airport. during visa pplication port of entry was hanoi and exit was danang. port of entry remains the same. can port of exit be changed from da nang to hanoi. pls advice
Sorry, I'm not sure on this one. This sounds like a question for a travel agent or government agency
How did you stop it from overheating?
I haven't noticed that to be an issue.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog your bike has never reached 114C??
Wao man! Its a long travel. I really would like to travel more in my motorcycle.
You should. Just start with shorter trips and work your way up there.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog Yeah. I am from Colombia. My longest trip was 6 hours. My problem is accommodation, do you usually stay in cheap hotels? There are applications for free hosting but I don't know if they are secure
@@Huergo315 We usually stay at a hotel or motel of which ever town we roll into. It usually isn't a problem and availability is not an issue.
I'm starting in HCM and heading to Hanoi with 3 stops in between. Which city were you in when you showed the money exchanges?
That was in HCM.
You didn’t address the heat coming off the Ducati. I had a 2006, 999, and I had to sell it. Well, really I traded it for a Bimota DB 5S, a bike with the air cooled 1000 engine.
That is definitely a consideration. Thanks for bringing it up
Did you film this in Hanoi?
No, most of this was in Saigon.
Thank you so much for this valuable video!
You're very welcome!
I have done that loop before on a Varadero. Absolutely an amazing and world class ride. I miss it
Yes! I'm lucky to have it in our "backyard"
I live in VietNam. Don't bribe Cops: ALL VEHICLES are EQUAL using the French Priorite A'doit system. Car drivers treasure their cars and avoid getting hit by motorcycles. Vietnamese are the most skilled bad drivers but Cops expect Foreigners to drive properly. ALWAYS USE A VIDEO CAMERA.
Great tips! Can you tell us more by what you mean "all vehicles are equal"?
4 years and still great info.
Good to know!
Get your own LOCK AND CHAIN because some crooked motorcycle shops steal their own bikes then demand you pay money. Cops expect (and know) Foreigners know how to drive properly so so don't mess around on a bike.
Wow. I didn't know about that. Do they have a GPS to track their bikes?
Thanks. This was so helpful for my upcoming trip!
Glad to hear that.
🇻🇳 ❤❤❤🇻🇳
Very touristy place…
omgg my new fav channel, i’m def trying out those spots
Great! Let us know which one is your favorite
great video!!
Thank you!!
I heard in Vietnam the bigger the vehicle the more respect which sounds dangerous
Yes. It actually makes sense to me because the bigger the vehicle, the slower they are you stop and manuever so it's best to watch out for those guys from a safety perspective. It's so different than in north america where pedestrians will just walk anywhere without really looking first.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog and its not just Vietnam i heard in some other asian countries
Thank you for your time and posting. I'll go to VN in October for a few months to see if I want to retire there, starting in Hanoi and working my way down to HCMC. I tried Ecuador and that didn't work out. Looked into Portugal but... Nope. Malaysia is not for me. So we will see. :) Thank you again.
Yes, definitely worth considering. From a retirement perspective, central Vietnam is very compelling. Good luck and tell us how it goes!
Second visit in June but gave me tips worth knowing. Thank you.
That's good to know. Enjoy your trip!
Great review. I’ve had the same bike for about a year now. I’ve got the dedicated GPS and cruise control. It’s really a good compromise. Not too heavy, handles well, great mpg. I’ve had ST1100s, St1300, FJR1300s, Ducati Multistrada 1260 and Concours. This is better than all of those, imo.
Yes, definitely a good sports tourer all rounder. I'm surprised how well it performs in the twisties for a 1200cc bike
Nice Review. I own a 2018 R1200rs great bike. I needed the handlebar risers at 6ft 3in. Was looking it trading to newer bmw....After watching g your review and couple others I decided I'm keeping it....
Yes, it's still a great bike!
The only problem i have is this bike run hot. I rode it up to Sequoia National park & it didnt like being stuck behind traffic.
Oh, I haven't noticed that on mine.
@ChasingtheSunVlog my temp where above 200f. But would go down as i start moving
Xingtian Temple is a taoist temple and you can only find taoist priests or temple assistants there. Monks can only be found in Buddhists temples. We normally will not address the entities in the Taoist temples as Gods but as deities.
Good to know. Thanks for clarifying
I love it when riders share how they're getting the most out of their bikes. Thanks for the video! I went from an RSV4 to a Tuono because I wanted something more street-able and agree this bike let's you have your cake and eat it too in terms of being good in the corners while relatively comfortable. FWIW, as a taller rider I feel at home with a couple of mods (taller windscreen, lowered rear sets, higher and more angled handlebar).
Thanks for sharing your perspective as a taller rider
Thank you guys for the great info :)
You're welcome!
You're welcome!
I'm so surprised you would say the international license isn't needed. I researched a lot before spending a month in Vietnam riding from north to south. As expected, I was stopped by the cops on the Ha Giang Loop and they specifically based the 2 million dong fine on the fact that my international license did not have the motorbike endorsement.
I'm saying for renting in the big cities. And yes the Ha Giang loop will be checked. You can see my vlog on that trip.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog Ah OK, got it. Yes, I rode in Danang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh and Phu Quoc and NEVER saw a cop. Hehe. I'll check out the vlog. Thanks!
You paid the 2 mill fine lol
@@heavensplayer Ohhhh. I think you're implying I shouldn't have paid it. Hehe. I think you're right! When I get pulled over a second time, I just told him that I already was fined 2 million and his friendly expression dropped as he waved me on with no further attempt to extort.
@@all4fitz lmao you could have paid 10x less that's all man don't beat yourself up about it
im slowly working through all your vietnam videos! Soo helpful thank you for the amazing work!
You're very welcome! Glad it can help you.
amazing work! quick and to the point. Planning a moped trip with my gf for 2-3 weeks in vietnam. Is it better to go clockwise or counterclockwise?
I've never done a full loop and I'm not sure if it matters. It's probably better to plan around their wet season.
Do not ever choose this school or you will regret it it is a front and does not offer a valid education and it is not supported by the Taiwan government.
Which school are you referring to?

The '21 & later base model solves a lot of your con's and still leaves the pos's in tact.
Yes. I agree with you. I rode a buddy's 2022 and the wind protection was much better.
@@ChasingtheSunVlog I also lowered mine, just do a 30litre SWMotech Tailbag for trips 7days/2000Klm thru the Australian Alpine regions.
