I just enjoyed the final episode of this beautiful documentary. Starting off in a week to do North Wolds Way (inspired by you) and then Cleveland Way. Too bad you couldn’t finish the trail!
Cheers Toby! I'd not heard of the Inn Way but have just looked it up - sounds great! I'm starting the West Highland Way in the morning, finally made it up here after a shocker of a day on the trains 😠
So sorry you couldn't complete it Paul. Like you have said, it's crazy we both had the same issues on our last thru hikes. Although I have to say, you didn't come across like the total drama queen I did in my video 🤣. The Cleveland Way looks amazing and I've never visited that part of the UK, so will hopefully get over there and do it sometime soon. How many days were you planning to do it in? Also, cracking camping spot. Although were you conscious about the possibility of people walking by?
I knew I was only a few miles away from being able to get home easily, that helped a lot! I'm actually on my way up to Milngavie for the WHW right now, kind of a last minute decision made yesterday afternoon! If I hadn't been ill, I'd have finished on the 4th day, from where I was camped it was about 27 miles to Filey. Two people passed by as I was setting the tent up, and one person as I was trying to pack up in the morning. At those times, there's not much foot traffic in that area as it's a few miles to a town in both directions.
@@PaulandaPack Oh wow, I'm very jealous now. You just want a reason to try out your new backpack don't you?! 🤣 Looks like you've got some reasonable weather for it too. How many days are you planning to do it over?
You're spot on! Testing the pack and a few other bits out. I was actually hoping for some rain, but I'll take sunshine! Last time was 3.5 days, and I don't think I'll do that again, maybe 4 or 5 days this time. If you get something organised for the Cleveland Way, let me know - I might be able to join you for a part of it, depending on work.
@@PaulandaPack Blimey, you certainly motor along Paul. Have a great time and hope the pack is great. Yeah that would be cool, I'll let you know when I head over to do the CW. 👍
Did you filter any water on the way through the moors. I don t really trust water filters that much and would add a steralising tablet if I do use one .. When you passed through Kildale I think you did have a filter and you walked straight past a house where I knocked on his door and was very happy to let me use his outside tap where I got two litres , in a heat wave and needed it badly . I never saw one spot on the Moors in August where I even saw any water sources .Would nt surprise me if thats where you got your odd stomach bug
I did filter some at the river in Kildale, I guess it's possible that I picked something up there, though I've never had problems in the past. Someone was doing the West Highland Way at the same time as me and had the same thing happen to them, I just took it that a bug was doing the rounds, but anything is possible!

That's great! I hope you have a brilliant time on trail 👍 Would love to hear how you get on!
Exceptional presentation and piece of cinematography my friend. Just stunning work!
Thanks as always! Appreciate you commenting!
Thank you for another fine instalment! I am enjoying the series very much and hope you get to finish before high tourist season.
🌅
Thanks! Much appreciated 🙂
Brilliant video Paul. We're doing the Inn Way this summer but this one is definitely next on the list 👍
