I can see some parallelism with the losses of Air India's 742s with Korean Air's.
-2 planes lost to accidents (HL7445 and VT-EBD)
-2 planes lost to war/terrorism (KAL 007 and AI 182)

I didn't realize that coincidence until I read a chapter on the 742 in one of my 747 books. :O
@@RetroAvi8or I didn't know about the accident HL7445 had until now. That was new for me.
Surprisingly, there were a lot of 747 hull-losses in the first 10-14 years of the types operation that become almost forgotten, like AF 193 and ULF 48. Not to mention hijacks in the 70s and 80s...
@@azurefire7266 True. Those losses prolly didn't get enough news coverage to be well-remembered 30-40+ years later.
my grandfather flew a boeing 747 for air france, but he sadly retired 2005 and no the plane ceased operations (and so did all air france 747’s now)
