Except they became demon slayers before becoming a demon, Butter didn't in this playthrough. Yes, it does matter. If you become a demon in minecraft you can't become a demon slayer even if you get a sword, it just won't change into a breath type, which implies that it is not allowed for demons to become demon slayers. The only reason that those 2 demons had swords was because they were demon slayers before becoming demons.

Ohhhh yea I remember why you’re able to use zenitsus lightning breathing…there was a demon slayer that used lightning breathing and he turned into a demon….he remembered all of his training while he was a slayer and incorporated it into his demon form, so he was pretty much able to use lightning breathing while he was a demon (and his lightning was blue)

I think it would've been fine since some demons typically used some kind of weapon, while some just uses blood art.
