I've just heard this and they are genuinely different and have such energy I'm well impressed
Yep yep! They're very cool.
It's also worth noting that they're two young black women cracking open a genre that hasn't been overly available to people like them - Tina Turner, Skunk Anansi, Grace Jones... black women are not well represented in rock and the ones you can name are exceptional. They're doing it their own way, they're uncompromising, they're loving every minute, they're (star throwers and they're) coming straight for you. It's thrilling to watch them not just break new ground but tear it up and leave nothing behind.
They've just started their American tour, expect them to blow up by next Spring. It's theirs to take
They smashed Glastonbury 2023
The electronic effects are the floor pedals. Amy Love (Lead Singer and Guitarist) and Georgia South (Backing vocals and Bassist) both have a big floor board of pedals. They are incredible live.
And they sound amazing, amazing, amazing live. Love them. Fun watching them come into their time now :)

I hear Ministry in here. Is that weird? Like if Ministry and Missy Elliott and Tom Morello did a collab. (You made the same observation as I was writing this haha.) Very unique. I agree, I can't think of anyone who sounds like this. I can hear influences, but the sum of the parts creates something different altogether. Nice find!
