Which "apocalypse" did you mean? It's just in the past 2 years we've had like 6 so far, of course here we are.... No apocalypse, just a bunch of people being manipulated. I turned 30 last year, still relatively young, yet I've survived what? Like 50 "end of the world"s? I honestly don't understand why people keep pushing this narrative. Are attention spans really that short that people can't remember the last "apocalypse" and realize it's all bs?
I was watching a video on shemagh and this video showed up on the side. I am so thankful it did. The first thing I noticed was you glowing smile. I learned so much. Thank you.
I was given a Keffiyeh by a Palestinian to help show solidarity. It has also been so helpful keeping me cool in Summer. When you stand with Palestinians it's impossible to not get something from them too because they are such a giving and resourceful people.
Hello and thank you for doing this video because, I learned so much! Some years ago, I learned the value in carrying a couple of extremely lightweight Sarong wraps with me as I backpacked a few times on "Camino" in Spain & Portugal (used them as curtains on bunks, towels, hair wraps, tops, knee wraps and so much more). Now I'll go peruse your other videos! May God bless you and yours.
Saved Monk: Thanks for the food for thought! I've had a shemagh for years that's just been sitting in my go-bag but not getting it's proper use apparently. Suggestion: On using as an arm sling, the knot should be at the shoulder so the injured arm has more room to rest. Otherwise you restrict blood flow in the arm/wrist area. Try to avoid using a square knot, esp. on the shoulder, as it can be quite uncomfortable in short order. Try to make the joint in front of the shoulder to keep from putting too much pressure on those nerves/blood vessels as well.
The "gaiter" is very effective. Never heard it called that but this method is definitely better than the reverse which starts front w/tails hanging front to back and tucks reverse. This Gaiter method covers more area and breathes better. Great video monk dude.
You can also wrap different Turban with it. I did this once to my mother as she visited me and didn´t anticipate that it would be much colder here. You can easily make an improvised hat that not just gives you two layers on the head but additional protection around the ears: 1) fold it into a big triangle 2) roll the long edge 3 times so that you got a triangle with two laces. 3) put the triangle on your head and knot the laces behind your back 4) take the upper lace and stuff it into the brim of your turban 5) this leaves the lower lace dangling down. It can be used to cover your face or neck.
That was the best shemagh options video I've ever seen. Great bunch of styles that were very well demonstrated Sean! I really enjoyed this one! And as always, your positivity and energy shine through and make me feel great! Thank you for sharing my brother. GB Be well Craig

Thank you mate from the UK. I knew a few uses for a Shemagh before, but Mr Monk you have shown me many more this from now on will be a useful part of any future outdoor activity kit.
These are a must have for any camping or hiking trip, or even out fishing and hunting. There is no shortage of uses for a big square of light fabric and it carries easily on your neck, across your shoulders or even stuffed in a bag. Light and practical, but when you fold it to put more fabric between you and the weather, it just gets better and better. I've used mine to hide, just for practice. You duck down low and cover up... and don't move. So long as the colors worn are close to the natural surroundings, you are much harder to spot and hey... one day that could save your life.
I've used the little satchel wrap to carry a little short-haired cat in it as I've gone on walks in woods or forest. She loved being carried like that.
After so many videos of the same old stuff in super-saturated tactical market your light hearted and humorous approach along with some fresh ideas was enjoyable. Thank you. Know I even know about the comfortable looking Boreal sweater. Thank you.
I am glad you made this video. I found a video 7 ways to tie a shemagh. I found your video and watched it, I found the way I like to wear it best on my head. I like the jungle/commando wrap because it looks like a bandanna on my head. Thank you for this video.
I was going through videos on tying shenagh, sitting in front of my mirror practicing and your video popped up.. i have bever seen any of your stuff.m i enjoyed this one, so Im going to explore some more of your stuff, thanks. Also on the jungle wrap to bunn wrap, if is really hot you can wet the hanging part on your neck and allow evaporative cooling to help...lol you mention that later
My son asked me what I use mine for and I shared a few ways with him. Now I shared this video with him to cover everything else. Learned a lot from watching. Thanks. 👍
That is great information to know and I always wondered how the shemagh is to be used. I will buy one now and include it in my backpack for use when out camping. I thank you for sharing this information and wish you a Very Merry Christmas.
There is no other piece of clothing or apparel on the planet that is as versatile as the Shemagh. The Hirbawi make from Palastines last Shemagh factory is without doubt the best in my opinion.
This is the best video I have seen on the topic! I find it awkward to carry a shemagh and prefer to use a 1m by 1m triangular bandana, just as usefull at half the bulk
Excellent! I have to go to Florida in August and some of these will come in handy after I dip it in cold cooler water. Love the sweatshirt, it's on the list to pick up for the fall
Thanks for the great video. Can I ask where you got your hoodie? Although I don't believe that the word hoodie does it justice. It is a very sweet looking garment
in saudi arabia when winter come specially in desert put shamagh like ninja style but in perfect way as i'll mention 1-fold diagonally 2- put it on your head as middle east style (you will have two sides long right and left with covered back) 3- fold sides left and right diagonally (from top back corner of your head, part of outer become inside and behind your ears to fit front of your head) and sure both side are flat not screw . 4- one side around and cover your mouth and nose and end of this side insert in other side corner which formed as pocket 5- the second side of shamagh around your neck by this way give you perfect protection and good sight , and i hope help.

When i had a shemagh as a scarf i preferred the outlaw style but then around the neck. So a triangle style, with the triangle at the front then wrap the ends around the neck. This made it protect the upper chest and especially underneath a zippered jacket it kept the cold wind from coming in just above the zipper end... another way i wore it sometime, was just in a triangle over the shoulders, with the triangle side covering the back, giving two layers on the upper back... that makes 23 ^^ ... tnx for sharing :)
I work on a literal sand mine in Florida. It’s full sun and the sand is bright white so it reflects the sun back up and holds the heat so it’s extremely hot and bright . I’m trying to make my own version of this for work . Questions: can I wear two so I have full coverage of head and neck ? Also isn’t there another type that I can wear over the scarfs that drapes over my whole head and body to create like a tent over my body that lets air flow in ? Any recommendations appreciated
Hello sir! I may be a year too late to help but you can use the Moses shawl wrap to get the air flow but also use a neck gaiter with it to keep the sun from reflecting up at your face. Wet the gaiter and it will help cool you while the shawl gives coverage from above. If the shawl gets blown by wind you can always tie a cord or bandana around your head to keep it in place. Hope this helps.
Great video! Just wondering, is there a wrap similar to the outlaw but with the possibility of covering&uncovering the mouth when needed instead of having it cover the mouth all the time?
These are really cool! You coul'd have also mentioned the way the SAS does it and how the Spec Ops soldiers do it, but besides that, it's a great tutorial - a lot of ways explained clearly with some humor :D
