Looking forward to the next in the series, excited to see which ones of those dividend growth stocks I also already own! And which ones to potentially add
Just found your channel and it’s awesome. Especially as a Canadian investor. Everything is super well explained and broken down. Your dad is great and is super interesting. Looking forwards to binge watching the videos !
Funny you say that.... This is the worst quality video to date. The content is great, but PLEASE for the love of god, dont record live from zoom.... Visual and audio delays... fighting over whos talking, and it looks like it was recorded on a nokia. Switch back to a proper camera!!!
Love the videos Brandon! Keep the series rolling, this is very helpful for beginners and I love the fact that you guys are explaining that there is more then 1 WAY to do dividend investing.
I'm 19 and I just starting dipping my feet into investing and trading. I started with 100 dollars. There is so much information out there, but it's also so overwhelming and would make me feel like theres too much that I dont know. I watch your videos because you explain things in such a simple way and your voice is quite soothing. I love your videos. I'm learning a lot about finances and hope to grow.
Now this is what I wanted to see!!!! Thank you for this. I haven't watched the whole video yet but so excited for this. Also, LOVE Marc! Experience = win win win. 🌱
I'm excited for this series! I like dividend stocks because I can't add money to my portfolio often now that I became a stay at home mom. But I like having a chance to buy new stocks now and then when my dividends add up. This is a fun thing I do on the side to keep my brain active while caring for my 3 young children.
I used to work in a insurance company in Sao Paulo - Brazil and was usual to see Iron Montain truck almost every day to pick up document, we also did a big project to communicate the systems between the companies. When I move to Montreal, in my first day at work, when I arrived, I saw a Iron Montain truck in front the company to pickup documents. This guys are huge. I never have been stop to think about their stocks, thanks for that.
Please do dividend high growth stocks along with this. I want to build a dividend portfolio but I'm still younger so I need some dividend stocks that are growth focus. Thanks
Ticker symbol "Rei-un.To" Riocan Great dividends with monthly payouts of almost 5% stock price is around $20 This is a great one for your records 👏 👌 Loved the video guys -Vancouver B.C 🙂
Always enjoy and appreciate the videos Brandon and Marc! Love the two perspectives from having you both on. I’m 20 years old and just started getting into stocks this January with $20k. This is by FAR the most informative channel I tune into!
Queue The Offsprings - You’re gonna Go Far Kid But seriously kudos to you. I’m only 27, and slowly grinding away to invest in various DRIPS only after having squandered wealth prior. You’re going to be very well off - this sort of financial self discipline you’re implementing at such a young age is going to earn you compounded wealth
Brandon, I am a novice with this stuff! You mentioned if I had $1000 in that I would get roughly $55 annually. So extending out 6 examples is $6000 to see an annual return of $330 per year
I really enjoy you r videos Brandon . Your such a natural in speaking the truth . I am a good judge of character and sort of pride my self on this talent and you sir are the one and only! Thank you for being you!
I am always educated when watching your channel. I love the duo (brilliant mix of the old and new analysis) whether side by side physically or technologically...❤ Brandon mentioned something about holding US stocks in an RRSP account, it would be great to hear what Marc's take is on this🙂
I am in US and I really love dividend portfolio video! I would love more of these videos! Really love listening to your father! I love how you guy's approach is very conservative!
Love the channel. One of the best videos that you have put out so far. I love the dividend schedule chart that was shown. I was wondering if you know a site that easily displays a stock/securities schedule (the month)????? I really wish my brokerage (my Canadian banks') and like the Ishares or Vanguard sites would display that a little better in addition to saying "quarterly" and then having do look at the distribution schedule. Keep up the good work !!!!!
I LIKED THE WAY YOU FULLY EXPLAIMED EACH DIVIDEND PAYING STOCK AND THE TAKE ON BOTH THE DIVIDEND AND WHAT PERCENTAGES ARE PAID OUT. IM NOT A STOCK INVESTOR BUT WOULD LIKE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CORPORATE BONDS
Love the side by side filming!! Marc. I'm watching this in November 2023 and see that AT&T stock price is currently at $15.74. Would you still keep in on your list of favs?? Love the father son team!!!
Great content! One thing to note the dates/months shown for cash flow are not dividend payment dates/months. For example BCE dividend payment month are Jan April July Oct .
I think for these “special” videos there is no problem going beyond the 10 minutes. I would just suggest for the appearance on screen that if you start on the left side, always stay on the left. Just my opinion... great work! Can’t wait for the next!!
IRM is actually on my watchlist. If I remember correctly, a lot of their clients are fortune 500 companies. They basically store any information both on paper and digital.
I've used wealthsimple tax for the last 2 years. It's been a very good way for me to do taxes! Very easy to use even if you don't have much experience with doing taxes.
What are your thoughts on ETF with High Dividend Yields? For example VDY has been a big winner for me this year. You get the growth of the stock price, as well as a reasonable dividend.
Another awesome video, guys. Dividend paying stocks is a large part of my portfolio. I don’t rely on dividends payments as my income at the moment, so I setup DRIP to get dividends back in form of new units of the stocks. I think it is a great way to have dividends compound over time. Maybe consider mentioning ability to setup DRIP to your viewers in the future dividend related videos.
Watching Andreescu and listening to you guys. Good series, Brandon. Could you also mention impact of rising interest rates on value companies esp utilities. Great job as usual.
Another great video. Really appreciate the additional focus on investors that have a 10-15 year horizon. Could you include your perspectives on how covered call ETFs like ZWC and QYLD should fit into a dividend portfolio if at all?
Honestly...you two are doing an excellent job together...this IS a topic I have just started some research on so it couldn't be more timely !! Excellent and thanks
I like the length and the information included for each stocks. Followed by your own rationale on why you'd pick the select stocks. Shared the video with my friends! Thanks to you and your dad for this. Looking forward to the next one!
Great video! thank you Marc and Brandon for your insights! I would like if Marc could give his opinion on Brandon's stock choices and vice-versa! I think it would add more depth to the analysis and give another vision about the stocks you select. Thanks again for the great content and keep it up!
My understanding is that US dividends may have tax withheld on dividend payouts to foreign investors. That would effect the net yield when compared to a Canadian Company. When investing through a TFSA there wouldn't be Canadian tax on dividend earnings from Canadian company's. Of you could discuss this topic it would be appreciated. Thanks
Canadian, US or International stocks and fixed? My choice would be best of each. Equal $ amount for each pick? Maybe $1000 per purchase = 25 picks = $25,000. This would eliminate SHOP, AMZN & MELI, BUT You could invest in best alternative long term equity or fixed income. Volitility. I like slow and steady as she goes. Right now POW an example with a 5% dividend. Dividend reinvestment opportunities of high dividend stocks such as BPY.UN. What fixed income equities and what % of portfolio? Protection of capital should we get a major market correction. Small cap & new stocks. What % ? Short term pain for long term gain. What criteria used for picks? When to rebalance or let an equity run? Such as MSFT or DHR. Enjoy your presentation and keeping topics fresh with new ideas. Great insights and logic applied. Brings out the best of Brandon and Marc. Good sense of humour keeps things light. Entertaining maybe an unusual adjective for investing but makes for our positive experience. Like 20-30 minute episodes to cover a topic without getting repititive or boring. Well done! Onward! :)
Thank you. I'm very interested in your picks. I've already started a basic, mainly Canadian portfolio of banks, energy and telecom. I own 2 mentioned. Looking forward to your next videos.
Hi Mark, I hope this isn't a stupid question: Is there any point in creating a dividend portfolio in an RRSP? I ask because in the end you are forced to draw it down and you can no longer live off the dividends. For example a 1 million dollar dividend portfolio may produce $40k per year in dividend, which may be enough to live off. So in theory your portfolio would last forever and your income would increase as your dividend increased. But the Government forces us to draw down at age 71. Why do they do this? And what would be the best way to draw down in order to maintain your dividends?
Love Marc..just a feedback..Brandon is looking into laptop more. Please look into camera and it would all be good. Great series idea.. looking forward.
Thanks for doing this video. I love the longer format! For me this was kind of like fantasy baseball, but maybe some day. The stock picks seem quite good from the standpoint of someone looking for income and stability rather than growth. Btw, I love the schedule at the end! Now there's detail to make a dream come alive. Twenty or thirty companies, picked so there'd be dividends paying out every month...
Very informational, thank you for sharing this knowledge. Just a Feed back for the video: looks like a great platform but just a minor issue with the performance of the video, its stuttering. (I thought I would point that out.) Great content regardless!
I think that your channel is great I’m just starting out in playing in the stock market and I have on my watchlist everything you guys have recommended and my goal is to eventually get at least one of everything that you mention and maybe double up on each of those stocks as well and hope that things grow well for me in my portfolio keep up the good work guys

Thanks for this video guys. Can we focus on dividend etfs and those that are considered safe and unsafe?
I like your $1,000 $10,000 comparison! Great job! Just FYI, you have some fake profile activity going on on the comments of this video. 😐
BTT and WIN is going crazy!
The word you were looking for was "addictive".
I love your Dad Brandon, he looks so proud of you. Great to see a father and son team working together.
I have never been this early. Thanks Marc and Brandon for all the valuable lessons you teach us!
You’re welcome Vivian. Thanks for watching :)
I used wealthsimple tax to make my 2020 return, went smoothly as you could expect and it was my first time doing my taxes myself.
Hi, have you heard about carlive token, you can get your free $30k to $300000 free coin to your trust wall,

hey man, I like your idea of showing a dividend chart at the end. Thanks
And this whole side by side video idea is awesome

The most educational and rational investment channels out there. Thank you so much for your content!
YES! Watched and loved, thanks guys!! This is exactly what I'm looking for. 80% of my portfolio is dividend based.
Brandon pulled switch up of the year with the new intro music 😂
🚶
But it’s country music
Being a bit of an older beginner, I really appreciate both Brandon's and his dad's perspectives...you guys are a great combo!
I'm beginner, I could listen for hours to take in all possible details. Thks
