Bhop and surf were not intentional, they were only bugs in source engine. The amazing thing is this was used by the community, not by the game developers, to create maps and a whole game mod. When creating more modern games, like tf2 or csgo, valve developers considered these game mechanics, somehow breaking bhop, and ruining surf a bit (surfable platform in tf2 and csgo are not so good, and bhop is not so used, since its power has been limited, and strafing is worse), but creating something new, tf2 rocket jumping. The thing is: valve never created jump/bhop/surf maps, so it's incredible how the developers never exploited these amazing mechanics, and the community always did

I got the mionix castor mouse and the mousepad from my girlfriend as a birthday gift and i went from struggling on tier 2 maps to be able to complete tier 3 linears within 2 weeks. Thank You Vartazian you helped me improve on surfing with your surf videos. I really hate it that you don't make those videos anymore, anyways cheers mate!

I stop Codjumper a couple month ago and discover CS:GO surfing ! What a pleasant surprise to know your part of the comunity. Btw awesome work on mp_descent_v2 one of my favorite cod4 map. Now gotta go back trying to surf properly ahah its so different than cod4 strafing :/

There is a MUCH bigger community and many more very good players. Surfing is quite different from codjumper. Codjumper = crisp fast movments, surf is the exact opposite lol. 1.recorded locally tv_enable 1, tv_record namedemo. 2. played back demo at .33 timescale 60fps. speed up in vegas 3x = 180fps in 60fps render. pause the video. you will see 3 frames of motion per 1 60fps frame :)

+Derek L i have different kinds. This video is some soul beats, chill bass, and trap music in that order. Usually I use Liquid Drum and Bass music, this was one of the ones I used other types.

you are exactly correct about everything you said. there is a huge community of surfers. probably 100x larger than cj ever was. good to see some old cj fans on my new vids. yes it has taken me since i quit codjumper 3 years ago to get to this level. but im bot even considered a top player. im rank 151/90000 registered users. if you want to get into surf let me know. ksf is the biggest community on css and its a big one on csgo as well.
yeah I already saw once a video of surfing by randomly going on youtube and then I just saw your surfing vids while I wanted to see one of your walkthrough of a cj map huehue I tried out surf yesterday and ye I am definitely going to surf more, I really find it cool how you gotta manage your path to not lose or to gain speed i've downloaded beginner and desolate map for the moment, but didnt go that far tho^
