My dad purchased this vehicle just recently. Rest assured the car will stay all original. My dad was a Pontiac factory service rep and knows Pontiacs inside and out. The car is all original, numbers matching. Beautiful car. We had to pull the engine about a month ago, it jumped time. My dad has a '70 GTO as well.He lives in Hendersonville and goes to the cruise in on Fridays with one of his other 4 cars.

My dad had a 67 Pontiac Tempest with the same hubcaps! Nice GTO, my friend growing up, had a 66 GTO, 389, 4 speed!

This would be my second choice in a GTO. The 65 is my first. Interesting how this one looks entirely stock. That's very good originality. And The horn works LOL. Nick you have the best job in the world. I think I would do it for free.
You can see the direction car design was going with this GTO into the late 60s and early 70s.A truly Gorgeous car.
Wow. Reminds me a lot of the '66 I had back in the day(around '72-'72). Mine was gold/gold, 389 with A/C with a boring as hell 2 speed automatic. Turning that tranny made the car drink leaded premium like crazy. The color combo on the car made it a stunning looker and I kept the factory wheel covers as this one has. This example whets my appetite for 2 reasons: It was a single owner and it appears completely STRAIGHT(stock hubcaps are a dead giveaway), both in terms of the body(straight as an arrow(as far as I can see) and if we can see matching numbers all around, we're done. Great car. Thanks for posting.

Man theirs nothing like the 66 GTO 389 tri-power I don't know how solid that car is in the floor pans etc but I hope y'all are still pricing the same way when I get my credit built back up and or cash saved I would put some different Wheels and tires on that put the factorys up and drive it daily but I would clean every nook and cranny with F11 and taze anyone who came near it with a bumper or shopping cart.

I'm surprised at your comment/criticism. The stock wheel covers are an EASY fix, but are a big plus when buying a car this old. The idea is to buy a car as close to factory original as possible. This, along with the low miles tells me the previous owner didn't "kiddo" the car or "beat" it. Finding the car as close to original is a BIG PLUS. I almost HAD to have had a recent paint job, which is OK, as long as it was done right and kept the original color. It doesn't get much better than a bone stock GTO, save for the new exhaust system. In the end, I would have probably gone back to the original mufflers. The ones on my original '66 sound plenty "throaty" and were designed for easy flow as a factory item. I'm a purist. The only thing I would change on this car would be to add A/C. I'm from southern Louisiana and our summers down here can be horrendous. An under dash unit would deviate from stock enough to justify not having air, and could be easily removed if the next prospective owner so desired.

Fellow mopar guy, and I made a similar comment on the walk-around video of this car, but it was a lot less colorful than yours.and received the same criticism, though it was much more brief..lol...
