    When i look at your channel, i feel like a buddy just called me up and let me know he just got new gear with the same taste in sound and design. I must say you get to the best parts right away. Other channels spend twenty minutes opening the box. You are always fun, like Christmas morning.

    Nice review…I got these 606 s3’s a couple of months ago and am using mainly for vinyl through my REGA P3.. they sounded great but I just added a B&W ASW610 sub woofer, and now they sound amazing for the reasons you mention…until my wife let’s me put floor standers in the living room these are staying..lol

    I love these speakers. I have configured the Amplifier for Music Reproduction at full wattage for maximum sound sensitivity. A little DIY speaker cabling with wall shielding leads to higher dBa's.

    Great review! I wanted it to go on even longer! But seriously, I have a pair of the 603 s3, the bigger brother to this, I’d love a pair of these to test against their bigger brother.

      Thanks for watching! I used to own the 683s, and I loved them so much. They were big but very easy to live with. I imagine the 603’s are more refined but just as amazing. Though maybe requesting a pair would be fun!

    I had the 685 S1 too, brilliant speaker and the overall soundstage width, depth and height was unbeatable. One of my all time greats.

    How it compares against monitor audio silver 100?

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  11 месяцев назад

      They’re similar, but the 100 has a more refined appearance and has a more taut bass and airy high end.

      I have owned a pair of B&W 606 S3 and a pari of SVS Ultra bookself for about 3 months. The 606 is WAY cleaner and superior in high definition from to mids to high frequencies. I have a use case for another pair of bookshelfs so I did a A B side by side test between the 606 s3 and the Silver 100 7G, I have to say very similar however the mids are more forward on the Silver 100s but again the 606 was VAY superior in the top mids to high frequencies in definition, clarity and brightness. The same was trure when I proceeded to do further listening side by side A B tests with the 606 S3 versus Wharfdale EVO 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3, and Martin Login bookselfs (sorry can't remember exact model) - all AMT tweeters. The 606 S3 was in EVERY CASE brighter, cleaner crisper and super defined in comparison to all others WITHOUT sacrificing bottom end performance. The bottom end was very close in all the speakers I tested. Additionally I have a sub woofer to address any potential short falls anyway. So I purchased a second pair of 606 S3s 😊 If you like a brighter, sparklier sound stage sounding speaker, you can't go wrong with the 606 S3 at this price point. Hope this helps.

    I have a pair of Focal Choras 806 with a CXA81 Cambridge Amplifier. Which will go better on an overall quality sound?

    Which one do you think is better the B&W 606 S3 or the Monitor Audio Silver 7G 100 / 50?
    I would love to see a comparion video.

      I’m not exactly sure. They’re both lovely. The Silver 100 has the best build between the two though!

    When connecting the 606s with a vinyl player do you need an AMP?

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, they’re passive. And you need a pre amp to your amp unless it has one in built.

    I have 2 pairs of b&w 600 series. i'm curious about 683 s1 that you had. I want to get one pair :)
    Do you recommend them and what is the difference between 685 vs 683.
    Also have two HTM61 S1 using as left and right in other system vertical position.

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  11 месяцев назад +1

      The 683 had far greater scale that the 685 and it went much louder. It was my party speaker of choice, tbh our neighbours called the cops on us on NYE back in the day. So yeah, loud.

    I'm starting to get into the passive speaker hobby. Would you recommend these 606 S3's or a pair of the 707 S3? I'm looking to get a used pair for 1k on ebay or getting a brand new 606 S3.

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  8 месяцев назад

      Ooh! I haven’t heard the 707s, but having just reviewed the 706 and the 607s… the difference would be the scale of sound and how big of a room you’re looking to fill. If its a smaller office or room the the 707 will work just fine, and you’ll get a better finished speaker. But if its bigger go bigger.
