Love this, no attempt to 'update' the songs, just play them like they were originally done! The best good-time band in the world. - makes me feel 18 again.
I have a turntable and a stereo amp with speakers made in 1971 by Panasonic. I bought it when I was 18.

To rediscover this music on it's own merits is great. Disco was churned out by the bucketful and everyone came to hate it but in retrospect, these guys were the best at it. Now it makes me smile.

He says in the video that he's 68. He just turned 73 Jan. 31st.

The white version of the legendary sunshine horns although good just don't get her done. You can't replace the sunshine horns. The badest horn section of all time.
You're right !! The original 70's horn section absolutely killed it, it looks like they are truly irreplaceable.
I found out two of them have passed away, Ronnie Smith, the first trumpet player and Denvil Liptrot, the sax player. On the other two, I can't find anything. I'm guessing KC would have liked to find MORE horn players like that , but they probably DON'T exist.
Maybe that's why he now has the girl dancers, an effort to fill the void?

I love this concert! Great arrangement and wonderful performance. But I am surprised that no one stuck that whistle up the rear end of the person blowing it, where the sun does not shine. The whistle was extremely annoying. Other than that, it was a WONDERFUL video!

I know it is pretty much tradition for him to have stage dancers, but, I feel like they detract from the concert, especially here. They are just randomly jumping around, no choreography.

MIami area but Harry, Come on over to Southwest Florida, we can motivate each other to shed some pounds...Will show you our beautiful white sandy Gulf beaches..So you'll be in better shape for Disco Cruise..I started in Nov, am down 12#s already. Bring your wife..Am serious..
Love KC & SB, But.....Their intro was way too long and kind of weak; halfway lost interest. Lost total interest when the dancing girls came out. Totally unnecessary. This couple with KC dressed all in black at night, he kind of disappeared on the stage. There was just too much going on.
Why KC ? What happened to the 2 classy back up singer's? OMG this sucks.
They must be grannies now. Maybe sitting back, sipping margarita while watching the show on TV.
