Nice and fitting way to bring the two former enemy nations together. (Sweelinck lived almost his entire life during the Dutch war of independence against the Spanish.)
Sweelinck was called by his contemporaries the "Orpheus of Amsterdam". And by coincidence, the Ancient Greeks called Orpheus the "Sweelinck of Athens".
What a fantastic instrument - it is perfect for Sweelinck. I really appreciate your stop selection - you bring out the brightness of the instrument. It is very exciting and a please to listen to you. Many thanks.
Gratulálok kedves Bálint isteni orgonajátékához! Lenyűgöző barokk orgonaépítmény, gyönyörű templom, csodálatos képek! Köszönöm szépen a felemelő élményt, és a megosztást! Tisztelettel és üdvözlettel Magyarország déli megyéjéből! 🕊🌿🎹👏🌍
Meantone temperament on this side and well tempered for the other side. Both organs are tracker action, fortunately, so one has to walk over to play the other side.
The best I could get (which is not really complete) was a Google search for Segovia cathedral organ and choosing the first result, which turned out to be a set of pages for the Hauptwerk sample set for this organ. It does have a specification, but you have to guess what most of the pipe lengths are (even the odd specification in ancient Spanish feet is missing for most of them(. I tried going onto the cathedral's own web site, and although they have a considerable amount written about the 2 organs there, I didn't see a specification for either one (although that could be from my failure to navigate pages written in Spanish).
That is a perfect organ for bringing out the best in Sweelinck’s keyboard music! … 👌
My Uncle played the Organ very well. He would congratulate you and might join in. God bless his soul.

Thank you, Balint, well done! Do you play organs on both sides from the same keyboard? Is this meantone? Best wishes, from Canada.

What are the organs specifications please?
I'm especially interested to know which stops were played in this recording

Wonderful playing. Thanks! ❤
Pro: The playing is lovely.
Con: 9+ minutes of the same (or similar) registration. Really? Was Sweelinck that boring?
