A movie full of symbols! The apple, the Swiss knife, the precision, the temptation, ... What else can you see? ;-)

Super beau vidéo Swoard Team, j'adore. Je me pratique pour qu'un jour je puisse traverser l'Atlantique et dévaler les pentes avec vous. :-)

Impossible to put the head below snow surface ;-)
Seriously, compare with Opus 1, by the two EC founders 15 years ago: ruclips.net/video/6Q78CtSlq7Y/видео.html
Basics of their technique are strong and of course still the same: wide boards, rotation of the chest and movements of the legs (which we named "push-pull"), inspired from surfing and skateboarding.
About the style, each rider in THE CUT has his own one, but always with something inspired from surfing. For sure Patrice has evolved in comparison to Opus 1.
Stability and easiness have improved a lot with the new board performances. This is a real progress.
While there were only 2 riders performing such linked turns 15 years ago, now there are many. That's also a big progress we are proud of. Look at the 13th ExtremeCarving Session: . ruclips.net/video/s4IOQNdUNTM/видео.html . There is no comparison with the 1st session in 2004.
Many sequences of THE CUT very shot on a very steep slope, in the afternoon. Our technique and style are not carving stiff on flat blue slopes. Steepest pistes and bumpy slopes are what we ride for still progressing.
Life is a game. Life is an apple :-)

One of the pistes in the movie has a slope/gradient of about 100% (= 45 degree), which is *really* steep :)
Furthermore, the piste is quite narrow at the first third and not flat, which makes it extremely difficult to ride - you do not see the other end of the piste in the laydown and when you finally see it then you are almost at the other end, so you need to change very quickly the edge.
I can say that to be able to ride such a piste in a controlled way a great progress in the EC technique and the equipment was needed.
It is impossible to ride that kind of black pistes in a controlled way from top to bottom without EC with aggresive push-pull, laydowns and a lot of dynamics.
No chance to use long stiff boards and lazy-style EC for that kind of pistes. You get too much speed and cannot change the edge, because you are already at the other end of the piste.
I need a lot of concentration on such pistes, but the fun is incredible ;)

      Where are this piste?
I'm think that is you was mistaken. 45 degree???

Steepest part is 40-45 degrees indeed. There are some slopes like this in the Alps. We see you are in Russia. Many Russians came to our ExtremeCarving Session in Switzerland from 2009 to 2012. They learned EC technique from Patrice and Jacques on black slopes.

We got confirmation today from local riders: they measured 45 degrees in the steepest part.
In France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, such steepness can be found in some resorts, but it is rarely long piste.
