Ivy, this is pretty awesome. You just saved me a lot of time and money. My Conlog meter just went blank and your video was very helpful. Opened it up, cleaned the battery and it’s working perfectly now. Keep up the good work 👍

This is my current situation since yesterday and been calling Conlog customer care to lodge my complaint and at the same time searching online with the hope I will get a solution......and boom! I found your video. Thanks for sharing sis

This video is really helpful, but after i put another battery it works only that i wanted to recharge but the keypard refuse to work. Is there anything i can do about that please
If the keypad is not working ie the digits you input are not showing on the screen but the screen is not blank, you will have to reach out to your Electricity Distribution Company for assistance.
Thanks so much for sharing...pls how do you recharge subsequently after it has been activated do I have to keep inputting my meter number before inputting my 20 digit token everytime I want to recharge or I just go ahead and punch in just the 20 digit token
Unless there is an issue with the meter, you typically just punch in the 20 digit token on your prepaid meter keypad and voila!

No. If its coming on at all, its not battery problem. rF con means power is not getting to your apartment. Try changing your Phases if you are in a three phase meter.

How do you stop the beeping sound on conlog prepaid meter. For low units?
Never experienced this but I asked around and it seems a one long press on the hash (#) button will stop the sound on a Conlog meter that keeps beeping when you have a few units left. If that doesn't work, kindly buy recharge token and if that still doesn't work, pls, visit your electricity distribution company office.
What about if the battery compartment is damaged by leaks from batteries
You will either need a replacement or you will need to have it fixed. And this can be done by a visit to the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company. Either of the above is not cheap however especially for the Conlog Meters. All the best.
I experienced same.U don't have to replace the box...u will get an officer to open the box to d panel behind the key pads.he will clean with fuel and it will b good to go...
I have this type of key pad. How do I load my token 20 codes?
That means you also use a Conlog Prepaid Meter.
Firstly, you have to ensure that there is electricity...you can check or confirm with your neighbours. Secondly, type in the 20 digit codes on to the keypad. As soon as you type in the 20th code, power automatically comes on.

If you chamged the batteries and the meter keypad is still not coming on, kindly visit the offices of your closest Electricity Distribution Company.
Hi there can you help, my box are the old ones that are attached to the wall so these no batteries and its not able to open
The older versions mounted on the walls will need to be checked by technicians from your Electricity Distribution Company so you will have to go to their office. I have seen these opened before but they have special tools for opening them.

Again, how can I use a neighbor's UIU to recharge my meter? I saw a technician do it but he never taught me how to.
Unfortunately not. I really do not have any tech experience. I had a problem that was solved and just thought to share to help others who might also be in a similar boat. So sorry you are going through that but my best advice will be to liase with the Electricity Distribution Company covering your area.
@@ivyludovic thank you at least for your reply. I have tried getting help from Ikeja Electric guys but they only offer to help if I bribe them. Ikeja Electric itself is not helping matters as the customer care keep promising to get the unit that should respond but that has been for months.

I doubt there is an off/on button. You can remove the batteries from the keypad and replace but the meter itself is often mounted on a pole so it would be unsafe to fo anywhere near it. Kindly contact your Electricity Distribution Center. All the best.
How can I check the total amount on my card ?
Your card only shows how much you bought e.g 3000 naira. However, when you input your token on your prepaid meter keypad, it shows the actual units on there.

Hi there. What is the exact message showing on your keypad? I have never encountered this 'error' message. Is it a new meter, is this your first recharge? Have you confirmed that your meter number and the one in your slip/printout are same number?
@@ivyludovic after the current one I recharge finish I try recharging again and is not recharging....the number is still 0kwh
@@chiomaonyedikachi6501 that means the recharge was not successful. Since you can't tell me the exact message showing on your screen, I will suggest confirming the meter number on the card you bought first. If the problems persists, contact your Electricity Distribution Company.

Hmmmm. Try changing the batteries as shown in my video. Then troubleshoot it buy buying a small amount of recharge again and see if it will load. Make sure the correct meter number is used when making the purchase too as sometimes, one mistake in meter number digits can prevent the recharge from loading.

Yes, it has to be replaced. The keypad goes off too so you cannot even have power on in the apartment.
Most times, if the battery acid leaks out and dries up, it can become corrosive and fuse everything together so it becomes hard to remove. You have to be careful when removing it otherwise you might damage the components. Try using a pen knife in between both batteries to pry it off.
If it is still not coming off, please take the keypad to your electricity distribution company...they have tech guys that can properly assist.

You don't have to use force to pull it apart at all. Its way simpler than pulling it off with force.
You can pull yours apart anyway you like. If you had really watched the video, you would have seen me gently pull it apart without it giving way before I pulled at it with force. Feel free to pull yours your own way. All the best.
Our keypad is not working...is there any solution
Try changing the batteries first. If the keypad is still not working, kindly visit your closest Electricity Distribution Company's office for a solution regarding your issue.
Good morning, my Conlog is have same issues, I have changed the battery. No solution still what have you done about it
I have reached out to their customer care service they said 72hours.....which was suppose to be Wednesday and today is Friday......I would call again today.

@Motunrayo Adebajo if a battery change did not work, take the keypad to the office of your Electricity Distribution Company and have it looked at by their tech officer. They can profer accurate solutions.

How much is what? Prepaid Meter or the Keypad? Kindly visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company and they will guide you through the process of getting a Prepaid meter. Kindly bear in mind too that it might not be Conlog Prepaid Meter.
How do I switch back to seeing my units?
You don't need to do anything. Once there's Power, the amount of units you have left on your meter automatically shows on the meter keypad.
Pls how do I self recharge
Look for the accredited agents for your Electricity Distribution Company...most times, they double as POS agents as well. Here in Asaba, we have BEDC agents. Purchase the amount of recharge you need and collect the printout. When you get home, take your Keypad and try to stand within sight of your mounted meter ie within sight of your meter mounted on the pole so that the keypad can connect to the meter properly. Type in the numbers on your recharge slip and Voila! Power on.
