- Peter gets stabbed by Kraven with the classic red and blue Sam Raimi suit then transforms into the symbiote black suit bringing him back to life. Takes me back to the first transformation scene from the Spider-Man 3 game!

You know this made me realize that "What are you." was more for the Symbiote then it was for Spider-Man
For sure. Although on next cutscenes kraven just refers to them as “the spider” and he isn’t interested at all in just the suit.. only when you die in battle some henchmen say “take the suit”
And I think a hunter says at EMF that they will take the suit off spider-man when peter is struggling with the loud noise

I don't know why, maybe it's nostalgia, but the Raimi suit just feels like the perfect Spider-Man suit every time I see it, like more than other suits, that IS Spider-Man to me.

Nah I think it just looks more menacing and detailed compared to the others. The other Spider-Man’s are too scrawny and pubescent looking. Raimies suit, he’s jacked, and he can be called “Spider-Man”

You can see the rage Peter has from dying and then being resurrected by the alien so he can fight again.
The second the suit bonded, Peter corrupted it.

@@Fackunator I like to think of the symbiote as blank slates, depending on the hosts’s mental state and emotions, it exacerbates what already exists. People always think as Venom is evil, which yes, but he is entirely Spider-Man’s shadow. He is a metaphor for what a good man can turn into.

One of my favorite things about the black suit is how demonic his voice gets. he’s more vicious and ferocious. it’s like unleashing the beast. I love the growls when you’re just absolutely destroying your enemies.
It would be cool if there were an option for a Story-Based Suit Option where when suits are usually supposed to be forced for a scene (Black Suit stuff, Evolved Suit), instead we could choose a suit so cutscenes like this could actually occur without us having to select it beforehand.

@@ItsDigidyDan The suit in the cutscene stays the same as the one you selected. I don't know how possible the transformation in the video would be, though.

I find it cool how when you use the Symbiote Surge you're suit doesn't change and you can pick any suit you want for any boss fight
Kinda wish they added more customization options though. I thought it was cool how you could wear any suit you want and symbiote surge to transform into the black suit. Now that feature is gone.
The movie, Spider-Man 3, would much better if it was like this. Powers of Peter with the Symbiote and Venom.
Raimi wanted his universe to be grounded as possible so no tendrills. Even venom doesn’t use tendrills… comic spiderman from 616 didn’t had tendrills nor venom. It was created on ultimate universe

I love this mission Harry going into rage mode because of what kraven did to Peter, Peter saying sorry to MJ about not being the best person he could be for her, and then getting the suit honestly insomniac this mission is a straight 10/10

Something i hope they add in a new update would be designated symbiote suits.
Like whenever the story needs you to go into the suit (like this scene and antivenom) or whenever you use surge mode you can have something in the menu which lets you choose the suit/varient.
I LOVE that detail if you are wearing the Raimi suit it turns him into the Raimi Venom. That is just absolutely cool! What a great game!

Still can't get over how great the Red and Blue Raimi Suit looks now. Insomniac delivered big time plus with New Game + here allowing us to finally play Black Suited missions in any suit we want it's simply amazing. Even the change into the suit looks good which yeah I know it's edited which It would be even cooler if Insomniac allowed us to switch suits during cutscenes cause that would make this even better.
I noticed the difference too , but after they fixed the lense problem with the amazing spider man 2 suit yesterday, without even asking the fixed the raimi suit again , the lenses are now more accurate and have different shading and texture

Black raimi suit is iconic but the black advanced suit is slept on. That shit is dope and I like using that as a symbiote variant

Too bad they didn't do it like this in New Game+. They should have coded it where if wearing the Raimi red/blue suit you transform into the black Raimi suit. If wearing a Classic suit you transform into the Classic black suit, if wearing the upgraded suit you transform into the black upgraded suit and all other suits just get the default Insomniac black suit.
When I see the upgraded Sam Raimi suit, why do I get those vibes from the Spidey Friend or Foe game?

The new updated raimi suit, is now the best suit in the game imo. Love it so much.
Can't wait for the amazing suit and the new red and blue. But I just wish Venom interacted with each suit appropriately and it switches to the black suit no matter what. I get you did the artistic thing with the raimi suit to the black raimi suit. However, the suit staying the same regardless when venom bonds with peter just looks and feels so bad
It's just a side effect of removing the suit lock. The easy route was to either remove the suit lock and forced suit changes entirely, or leave them exactly as they were, and with Insomnia and Sony as a whole both taking some major staff cuts and Insomniac getting that data breach, I can understand them taking the easy route to keep this game alive
@@cameronferrell5722 A side effect most other developers would have fixed because this is clearly not intentional or optimal functionality.
I love Insomniac to death for these games, but, we don't have to sugarcoat it when they do something that's not quite as developed as you'd want it to be.
It's hard to deny that this feels sloppy, and that's because it is indeed sloppy. That's okay though, that happens.
What I think really should have happened before this update went live was for them to make the suit you switch to during Symbiote Surge selectable through the suit selection screen. If you don't want your appearance to change during surge, select the same suit as base and surge. You could select Raimi as base and black Raimi as surge to actually get this effect in game for real. Any combination you want, just like that. I'd totally go from a classic red suit to the classic black suit, really wish I could've done that.
@@DatRealTom Mannn I love the classic black suit it looks so good, I used it on the new game plus foundry mission when Harry is Agent Venom so its like they are both venom n that shit looked so cool, I made a vid on my ps5 n uploaded it but the quality isnt the best, made for a cool moment even tho in the story it doesnt make any sense lol love that suit tho def my fav black suit, but I still like the new alien lookin suit :)

I now wish there was an option to select both black and red suit individually to show in cutscenes at the right times so that this would actually be possible. It would also be sick to see an actual transition like this in the QTE when he takes it off after the Miles vs Peter boss. Sadly it’s not likely to happen.

They need to make a “symbiote suit option” whenever using symbiote abilities it can transfer to a different suit selected

Insomniac should add normal suit/surge suit combination option, in which you can select the costume for your default costume and one for your surge mode. This way the whole issue for cut scenes in which Peter transforms into black suit should also be negated

This was supposed to happen to Tobey's Spidey in No Way Home. There were plans to have him bond with Venom in order to heal from Goblin's blade and we would have gotten the chance to see him wearing the black suit once again but the idea got scrapped.
