The dream car.

It has aged very well but its not a good looking car, I don't think it ever will be (compared to e39 or other more classic looking BMWs) but it has aged amazing. The V10 is the star of the show though, if the car had anything but a v10 I think it would be forgotten. Id love one but too expensive to maintain. However people are all buyin e9x and more and more talking less about maintenance on those *rod bearings and you are good* but as I learned recently the S65 is the same engine as this but with 2 cyl chopped off so the issues are the same. Shat is not the same is the transmission, the e9x has much better transmission than this.

15k , wow 😮, I’ve had mine for over five years now last year I had the con rod bearings changed for APL ones along with the vanos pipe and a full service at the same time for £2450 at my local BMW specialist , it sounds like a lot of people in America and Canada are being charged way to much for the job in hand , don’t forget guys to change the injectors as part of the preventative maintenance to avoid hydrologic lock , the car is running great I’ve had no problems with it apart from the usual throttle actuators which will fail guaranteed but are quite cheap around £750 for the pair including fitting. 😎🇬🇧👍
Hello, I have the touring version I sorned since lockdown down and thinking of putting back on the road. May I ask which specialist garage you use?
@@orlandobello1638 Hi , I use BMR in Dartford , Kent they have a good reputation , I personally wouldn’t take it anywhere else.
The throttle actuators are purchased from Jason at Rebuild , he’s based in Gravesend , very well known throughout the world regarding these , he also provides a fitting service , I payed around £450 4 years ago fitted.
like the revew as owner of e60, but please do not convert from km to mi if you do not understand basic math.
vehicle at 131kj km is 81.4k miles, not 65k miles
the rear of this car is so nice
Why don’t you do a side by side with E39???🙄
If I had the $$$ I would buy one for sure
Only thing is u would be in the shop wit all the repairs
@@LuvLon24 really? Why?

E60 is the best m5 no doubt about it
The video audio is on my front left corner 🎧

Just finished up a 1300 mile road trip in my 6speed Dinan S2 e60 m5. Going on 14 years of ownership and just crossed 188,888 miles. Maintenance comes with owning a v10. I’d love to see the money spent on services/maintenance on a VAG v10 at 188,888 miles - probably no different than what I’ve spent. And I love that I can take my grocery getter on the track, baby seat and all, to chase down some Porsches. Poor guy was missing his apexes, looking in his RVM at the big baby hauler, getting bigger and bigger in his RVM. ruclips.net/video/rzwCjTi4B3U/видео.htmlsi=5Vjn9-wAHHXKe3lg

When I hear you say 65000 miles equal to 131000 kilometers..and it is 81400 miles ..I know that you know nothing ,,you did not even turn dsc off and go s6 mode ,,that is one more thing that you know nothing about this generation,,sorry I am honest
Chris bangle designed! Cool car but the style ruined it for me!
Still looks great today - 17 years later... beautiful machine.
Unless you're rich and got a good ass job do not buy this car 😂. Fun AF to drive though
The dream car.
82000 miles
Smg problems... not worth it at all
You drive KIA. Say something when you actually own one, looser.
Bollox - just maintain the car properly and they bulletproof.

@@rooster16091982 exactly brother! I own 2 and they are the best M car ever made. Not the quickest, but crazy fast at over 200mph! And the sound, oh that sound! That Ahmed drives a KIA, fool knows nothing.
I agree with you both, been after the perfect M5 and finally picked it up on the weekend from Belfast. What a drive back to England and has been well looked after. M6 is next ❤❤
Stopped watching after seeing a brokie put money on pedals and exhaust 😂 cringe 🤡🤡🤡
They can't stay on the road. I wouldn't take one for free
Wrong - very reliable for the BHP
Time to buy 😂
V10 gorgeous, styling not so much..
Buy when the prices are soaring? Bad financial advice
✌️
Mines still sitting in the driveway with a spun rod bearing for the last year sunk too much money in that thing to look beautiful anymore selling as is p.o.s. car not worth all the problems!! My 335i is a much better and faster car tuned with full bolt ons and it gets way better than the shitty 5mpg my e60 m5 got when it ran 😂
Too much man and not enough machine. WTH? Why look at dude 10 times more than car? Maybe on purpose because he is hiding car because it is not right. He nailed the cup holders though.. my passerger front is used only by my daughter. Every time i wait for her to snap it off.
To each his/her own, but IMO this is one of the worst looking Bimmers ever
Everyone thinks differently
For the smg folks, maybe lift your throttle mid shift... just a thought.
Imagine being upset about the Bangle era of BMW design after the disgusting design language they're using today.
Time to buy a car plagued with problems ? meh no thanks ive owned one
The porn car…
As a long term Bmw fan, this is the worst M ever made - ugly, , too big , unreliable and a rough gear change , it’s just bad!
