With a title like that , you know what your getting. Mindless fun , especially when you have horror icon Carradine as the star. Just enjoy the ride. And Dracula does some of his work in daylight!
It was hilarious watching Dracula's eyeballs goggle out when he looked at the picture of a young, 18-year-old woman, in a carriage at the start of the movie. With his tophat and goatee Drac resembles a snake-oil salesman. Kind’ve campy, but Mr. Carridine is a good actor. Better movie than I expected. The wolfsbane the old woman handed the guy, however, looks more like pomegranite or a tomato plant. Wolfsbane leaves resemble parsley leaves, and the plant doesn’t have red/orange fruit, but seeds. And when Dracula goes into a mine to check the place out he’s carrying a torch. Why does he need that? Vampires see in the dark. Also I see Dracula sitting down and “eating” dinner with his “neice.” Vampires don’t do that either.
This was Drive-In second feature to Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter I thought they were great. It’s a different experience when you are a kid and don’t already know the Actors who essentially “play themself.” Dracula was Dracula.
That look Carradine was making while looking at the picture of the woman's daughter and the mother completely oblivious. I imagine that's the same look Albert Fish made when he saw the little daughter of the Budd family, Grace Budd, when he asked them to let her go to a party with him. Come to think of it, Albert Fish and John Carradine look somewhat similar. Not that Carradine was anything like Fish, he's a fine actor that I enjoy watching in many films and TV shows.
Most of the film is pretty boring. John Carradine's alright though. He doesn't remotely compare to Christopher Lee's Dracula of course, but he's a fairly entertaining, effective vampire. Not great but not bad. He's certainly not worthy of being called Dracula that's for sure. Especially when Billy the Kid hilariously knocks him out with an empty gun. Fun Fact: John Carradine thought this was one of his worst films.

Best scene of the movie!
Yep.....bullits can't hurt him but a gun tossed at his face did! 😅😂
This movie absolutely HAD TO BE a drive-in classic! It is pure corny campiness from start to finish! Absolutely delightful!
At least SOMEBODY is finally agreeing with me! This film is an ABSOLUTE must-see corny classic! 😂😂😂
Yes I saw it on release at Drive-In as 2nd Feature to Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter. Both Great.
@@davidcouch6514 Perfect combination! 👍 👍
When he looks at the mirror and yells i lost it. Been making that sound all morning.
Only 8 minutes in, and this is already HILARIOUS! John Carradine’s googoo eyes as if he’s a prepubescent boy watching a porno! PRICELESS! 😂
🤣🤣
They should have used Bela Lugosi
@@samkohen4589 As Billy the Kid? 😂
@@glenncox9128 No, as Dracula. Audie Murphy would have been great as Billy
That is Mrs. Olsen from Folgers! Why couldn’t she stay awake to protect her daughter?
Had they used Audie Murphy to play Billy and Bela Lugosi as Dracula they would have had a classic
Absolutely filled with cheese 🧀 supreme, and, I loved it!!!
I loved that John Carradine is still playing him like how he did in the two House films from Universal.😅
billy the "kid" looks about 45 years old!
He's in semi-retirement. Vamp called him out 😉
It is rare for most movie studios to cast BTK near his actual age.
@@bryanboatwright1671 but there's a difference between casting him with a 23 year old and a 45 year old.

He could walk by daylight in the novel
@@queenmedesa there are not too many movies where Dracula does his work in the daytime.
The greatest movie ever! W .M. W Mark !

And Dracula couldn't change into a bat by daylight
A drive inn Horror classic love them old monster movies. Load up the car, what a way to enjoy a night out with the family.
This has to be the most ridiculous vampire movie I have ever seen. I enjoyed it a lot.
Loved the movie❤
The actor playing Billy also played The Lone Ranger's nephew for 13 episodes in the Lone Ranger TV show of the 1950s.

He is out in the daylight 😮😮😅

I like the vamps that take the crosses and just throw them aside. Just a symbol; not the reality..
I didn't think that a vampire eats real food only blood 😅😮😅😢😊
Apparently it was cheaper to film after sundown. Too bad their light budget was non-existent, too.
How come she didn't put the wolf veins in the windows of the room they were sleeping in
How is the vampire out in the daylight
Dracula could be in daylight in 'Bram Stoker's Dracula.' John Carpenter had his plot revolve around this concept in his film.
How did the sheriff and the doctor no to go to the cave
How did she get all that make up on before she got to the doctor
Nah I like a sexy vampire...not Mr. Gateman from The Munsters.

And he was right!
They should have used Bela Lugosi and have Audie Murphy play as Billy.
Awful film ,but funny
