My team A-212 from the 1st SF Gp on Okinawa was TDY to MAAG-SOG in 1964. Our mission was classified and we used only Nung troops. We established Long Thanh in the early 60s and we lost a good man, SFC Dominick Sansone when their aircraft, a C-123 crashed into Monkey Mountain at Da Nang. when transporting a team of Nung Troops to their target destination.
