As an author, newsletter services require an address to be listed at the bottom of the newsletter. A lot of authors either rent a PO box (here in the USA) or get a free address through various companies. I do the latter. But to also include a phone number is ridiculous. There is probably a way around that, but I understand people not wanting to jump through hoops to simply use this service. And I respect your decision.

Here in the States, there's an option at the Post Office where you can pay annually for a full physical address - but it is a PO box. Not sure so the loops, business only related qualifications? Not sure? Perhaps there's something like this available near you? Second, a Google phone number, you get to choose from available numbers, use strictly for business, any call to that number likely deduces it is from whatever profile you've supplied it on, help narrow. Voice mail screening. These 2 methods could be a work around for personal protection, decreasing unwanted attempts dramatically anyway. Hope these ideas are helpful for someone.
Vimeo doesn't give a hoot about users' safety. PO Box or business address might have to be the way. And a 2nd number, not used for anything else, but channel listed related. Seems this reason of theirs is solely to know where to locate you, taxable related purposes. Maybe Gov is cracking down harder on businesses they see much money generated on. Here in the States, there's an option at the Post Office where you can pay annually for a full physical address - but it is a PO box. Not sure so the loops, business only related qualifications? Not sure? Perhaps there's something like this available near you?
Second, a Google phone number, you get to choose from available numbers, use strictly for business, any call to that number likely deduces it is from whatever profile you've supplied it on, help narrow. Voice mail screening.
These 2 methods could be a work around for personal protection, decreasing unwanted attempts dramatically anyway. Hope these ideas are helpful for someone.
Vimeo doesn't give a hoot about users' safety. PO Box or business address might have to be the way. And a 2nd number, not used for anything else, but channel listed related. Seems this reason of theirs is solely to know where to locate you, taxable related purposes. Maybe Gov is cracking down harder on businesses they see much money generated on. It often costs more everytime you turn around. Good luck with the next one.
