  • Full heat replay of the final with Ethan Ewing vs Jack Robinson at the Corona Open J-Bay
At the edge of the world awaits the best right-hander on Earth. The endless pointbreak is a blank canvas for the world’s best surfers to draw creative lines. But J-Bay’s perfection is matched by the pressure of the fight for the WSL Final 5. With just two events remaining, time is running out for the title hopefuls to rise up the rankings and clinch their spot in the Rip Curl WSL Finals.

wave for wave. these two guys are the epitome of perfect surfing on a canvas that lends to beautiful carve surfing. A pity that someone had to lose this awesome final. On saying that Ethan surfed the perfect heat. His transitions from rail to rail were flawless and aesthetically pleasing to watch. You musta been watching the heat I did (Russian hacking, no doubt)... those Cozy Bear bastards somewhow made Ewing's swoops look like swoops instead of carving cuts, with the board only getting on edge when he swooped it back leftward so that the face steepness made it look on edge... without the maddening inconvenience of actual edge-work. Tá ficando irritante mesmo. Oh WSL's official guys, "take care of it"! Let the birds fly, people loves surf, not one or other little honey of yours! We love surfers that surf by hisself.

A real shame to see J-Bay all developed now. People are just overwhelming every spot. Pretty soon this place will look like Snapper Rocks … 👎

SO oversold the commentary, struggling on inside rail all hyped up. WSL 8 fake titles, now in decline. Make commentary more real. Chill OUT! I would love to see BeachGrit get in the mix. How bout some honest fun commentary. TOO SERIOUS ALL BS. just a tip. Love the surf format though. Great talent, just use it.
