I go to Lavilla school of the arts one mile away from that school.. That’s insane never knew think much about the school I pass by almost every day! Thank you so much for this amazing content!
Thank you for this video, I like sooo many others are fascinated by this building and it’s history, I’ve been aware of it since the 90s when I was a kid. Never went in, closest I get is the parking lot across the street.
I’ve reached out to the perseveration group to see if they’ll allow me access. Fingers crossed. Thanks for watching!
I’ve been contemplating on going there.
Keep doing more mall videos. Unlike Sal and Dan Bell, your videos are relaxing without the worst of the 80s Dion Warwick psychic flashbacks. Pleasant flashbacks of the 80s are nice, but not the disturbing cheesy ones. And most of what Sal and Dan do are in the depressing rust belt and northeast. Most of yours are in Florida and the southeast which I can relate better to. Keep making them.
Wow, what a shame. I love the symmetry of the building overall. The freeway proximity certainly _seems_ intentional, that sort of thing would never happen today. The freeway would either be re-routed or a replacement school would be built elsewhere. I can't imagine it would be too appealing as condos either and looking out your window at a freeway but that sort of thing is common in the city I suppose, unfortunately. Even in the country, so many parks and productive farms were completely bisected by freeways.
Yes, I love the symmetry as well. When it was constructed it was a beautiful building.
I read Wikipedia article just before searching videos. This is word for word the article. 🤣
Saw this school on the way back to MD from Palm Coast. I was like "What the hell?" This reminds me of NY not tearing down the old NY Pavilion from the World's Fair. Just ugly and serves no purpose still standing.
I live 30 minutes away from the school. I know that place is haunted because I know people who have experienced things in there. Also, when you walk up to that school you get the worst feeling... a feeling you do not want to feel.
I wonder when/if it is going to be renovated.
