This song was recorded 2 years ago you actually saw them recording parts of it in the light up the sky. They have been involved in PUBG for a while probably due to the Tencent media, PUBG's makers owning shares in YG entertainment.
The song is not my vibe/type but the MV?! Its top tier! I can't stop watching cuz the visuals are so beautiful! YG did a good job on the set production. And the song's rap part is good. Overall, this song is in my Top 15 of Blackpink's songs 😊

@@flymetotheup9904 the outro is percussive. It's expected for the song to be more on the hype/aesthetic side rather than meaningful one since this is just a pre-release single just like HYLT. The title-track there was Lovesick Girls which was more meaningful and less hype or striking. You can hope for a more meaningful song on their title track for their full album.
Just after 3.00 when you mention "90s vibe", this song feels like a homage to multiple artists. I've only been able to recognize two, but there are multiple referrences as far as I can see at least instrumental-wise or lyric-wise. Jennie on the start "Kick in the door, wavin' the coco" is homage to Biggie's "Kick in the door, wavin' the four-four", and just after that Lisa starts her part with "One by one, two by two" from "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna which you mention @7.40 . Those are the two I'm certain of. "Straight to your dome" from the hook is slang from the 90s which goes in hand with "Taste that pink venom". "Like I'm so rock n roll" from Rose, near the ending on the song feels like a referrence to Avril's Rock n Roll, but it doesn't fit the lyrics 100% and the instrumental is nowhere near similar. The Rap part after the first hook feels like a referrence to someone, or something. The beat feels like 90s. Can't pinpoint what exactly, House of Pain maybe? As for Ready for Love, decent song. I love that it's animated. I'm dissapointed on how certain parts were made though. You can see everything is made beautifully, then you see @12.30 Lisa upclose and you realise that they messed up with the face tracking. With the budget they had, movement tracking and animation should've been done better imo. As for the PUBG collab, they are part of PUBG Mobile since 2020, and if I'm not mistaken, proper PUBG since last year.

Just didn’t get that technology advantage… so blackpink made it popular in K-pop…. So why wouldn’t they use that for their title tracks? Makes sense to me lol

The title-track there was Lovesick Girls which was more meaningful and less hype or striking. You can hope for a more meaningful song on their title track for their full album.

Just after 3.00 when you mention "90s vibe", this song feels like a homage to multiple artists. I've only been able to recognize two, but there are multiple referrences as far as I can see at least instrumental-wise or lyric-wise.
Jennie on the start "Kick in the door, wavin' the coco" is homage to Biggie's "Kick in the door, wavin' the four-four", and just after that Lisa starts her part with "One by one, two by two" from "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna which you mention @7.40 . Those are the two I'm certain of.
"Straight to your dome" from the hook is slang from the 90s which goes in hand with "Taste that pink venom".
"Like I'm so rock n roll" from Rose, near the ending on the song feels like a referrence to Avril's Rock n Roll, but it doesn't fit the lyrics 100% and the instrumental is nowhere near similar.
The Rap part after the first hook feels like a referrence to someone, or something. The beat feels like 90s. Can't pinpoint what exactly, House of Pain maybe?
As for Ready for Love, decent song. I love that it's animated. I'm dissapointed on how certain parts were made though. You can see everything is made beautifully, then you see @12.30 Lisa upclose and you realise that they messed up with the face tracking. With the budget they had, movement tracking and animation should've been done better imo. As for the PUBG collab, they are part of PUBG Mobile since 2020, and if I'm not mistaken, proper PUBG since last year.
