Not only did she actually believe her husband when he informed her of what was going on, but she also understood the situation from simple inference, acted out being disappointed to allow her and her husband to get away, all within like a minute and without giving away what she was doing.
Actually, my theory is that she had already planned this as an escape route, since she does know that Chitose likes her and would do anything in her power to ruin their relationship. So it’s probably planned before it happened but that’s just my theory
