I used oats flour instead of breadcrumbs, and added some quinoa and kale to the mince mixture before forming them into balls. I also added some dried methi leaves as suggested by Jez Blake. 3 questions... _ koftas will get hard by frying, won't they? Outer skin will take different texture from the inner side. Mostly they put it in the curry to get cooked n soft. _ what if I don't have tomato puree? In that case pls explain the method of adding tomatoes and their quantity. _ can I add fried onion and yogurt without grinding it? The oil in fried onions and the greasiness of yogurt destroys the machine and blades. Its washing gets a hell of a project. Otherwise great recipe. You did very well indeed ✌️
Because the koftas were fried the curry flavor would not really soak into the ball, so I put 2 tbsp of the fried masala into the ground meat and then formed the balls. They were flavor bombs. Thanks for this delicious recipe.
