VW CADDY MK4 RETRO FIT A DAB AERIAL

I am not a expert at this install in any way but I researched this and this retro fit works perfect for a perfect dab digital radio reception replaceing the factory installed VERY POOR VW CADDY AERIAL.
Owner installed.

By the way, I got a solder roll caddy and you were right. I need one. Yes, those clips are designed to go on, but not come off. Well done. Rob

My DAB radio is absolutely shocking. I live in Jersey and island off the UK and the signal comes and goes every few minutes

You just can't beat a vw caddy maxi. Expensive but worth every penny.

yeah is a good all round vehicle {classed as a car on the log book but only sold by vw van centers}.

This bought back memories of retro fitting a head unit in an Audi TT roadster Jim, the standard DAB unit and aerial were rubbish so I swapped it out and eventually ended with a flip out 7" screen, DVD, SAT NAV, TV, CD etc plus I also installed a Playstation 2 in the boot and fed the controllers through to the driver and passenger seating area - good for a laugh on a cruise night! ;-) ..........Graham

Very cool .......I am so happy I installed the external dab aerial as now all stations work 100% perfect as it should of done in the first place...I must admit I am tempted by a new android head unit like the kenwood one or Blaupunkt one.......

so internal and external glass mount for the Ariel, do you need to drill a hole through the glass or does the signal pass through the glass window without physical connection?

No holes, the signal passes through the glass on glass mounted aerials.
