Required fun fact about this episode. The writers literally invented a new math theorem to determine how many bodies you need for the body switch at the end.
No they didn't. This exact concept was in a Stargate episode decades ago. The theorem on how the math works has been floating around at least that long
@@Obsolete386 The only thing coming up about the development of the Futurama Theorem is information about this episode. A reddit post I found says that the solution to the Stargate episode wasn't applicable for what happened in tis episode while the Futurama Theorem should be able to solve any similar issue.
My favorite moment in this episode is when the theorem is explained and the professor says: "And they say pure math has no real world applications" Very clever joke.

That is hilarious I didn’t know that
@@kodyneal9643 Several of the writers have PhDs, at least one in maths.

@@death2boredom338 In other words from the sound of it, they perfected the theorem from Stargate, which was previously flawed.

Very clever joke.
That Scruffy/Washbucket moment was so out of nowhere, so funny, and so sad.
8:27 no, that is NOT the thumbnail
10:30 THAT'S the thumbnail
This episode gave us the short-lived.Yet best romance in the whole show. Washbucket and scruffy
Scruffy believes in this company 😢
Poor scruffy
