Yeah despite freelander has a new suspension it is just not match to the older versions of land rover models such as discovery and defender even range rovers ... it has very low clearance and it more like a road jeep I was sad back then when they introduced freeLander they kinda ruined themselves in my eyes. Still wanna get defender 90 :)
The heater core inside the car acts like a little radiator and when the heater fan blows air through it the temperature of the coolant is drawn down. This helps the engine to run cooler. (Usually makes the conditions inside the vehicle pretty sticky!)
The point is, Camel did the first Camel Trophy with Jeeps, but for all the others, they chose Land Rovers. The stock vehicles don't need a suspension lift, nor do they need welded diffs, they're standard factory production-line vehicles, apart from the roll-cage and roof-rack. They have an extra sump guard and fuel tank guard., but the mechanical bits are stock.

some good footage there. it gave me some ideas for my scale models
it sort of went downhill when they introduced the Freelander ...
Yeah despite freelander has a new suspension it is just not match to the older versions of land rover models such as discovery and defender even range rovers ... it has very low clearance and it more like a road jeep I was sad back then when they introduced freeLander they kinda ruined themselves in my eyes.
Still wanna get defender 90 :)
freeland was a pile of crap for sure the k series engine was bad
+MrTaftser Just sort of ???
And that ewok rangie too 👍
All who know agree on this.
@49:55 he mentions the cars are overheating and they are told to turn the heaters on.. why does turning the heater on benefit the car??
The heater core inside the car acts like a little radiator and when the heater fan blows air through it the temperature of the coolant is drawn down. This helps the engine to run cooler. (Usually makes the conditions inside the vehicle pretty sticky!)
1:03:28 for the thumbnail :)
