      My wife
      Asked me
      For forgiveness when
She cheated on me with my
      Cousin.
Not only did I not forgive her.
I spat in her mouth and kicked her to the side.
      I left New Jersey for
      Finland 🇫🇮 where I’m finding
      Peace away from
      Her whorishness.
I WILL NEVER EVER FORGIVE HER EVER!
FORGIVENESS IS NOT ALWAYS NEEDED OR NECESSARY.
You still can find peace without ever forcing yourself to forgive others. Don’t let other people’s guilt trick your feelings into forgiving them. That’s unhealthy for your mental health.
As for my cousin. He died from a brain aneurysm after his struggle with alcohol and drug addiction unrelated to what happened with this incident. I didn’t go to his funeral. His own parents didn’t even attend. No one forgave what he did.
You can heed what I say or dismiss it. It maters not to me.

Sins cannot be justified because you forgave someone else.
All throughout scripture, forgiveness of sins required death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23 KJV
Forgivness and salvation are two different words having two different meanings.
Forgivness happened on the cross before we were even born.
      Salvation = Justified.
We are justified the moment we READ and BELIEVE that all our sins were ALREADY FORGIVEN according to SCRIPTURE.
Jesus has already made peace with you through the blood of his cross. NOT because of anything you did to get forgiven.
Prayer is a work of the flesh.
      Ephesians 2:8,9
Praying to be forgiven wont forgive your sins, because forgivness happend nearly 2 centuries ago.
God never told you to have faith in self-effort or mans wisdom, God said have faith in what his Son Jesus Christ has already accomplished on YOUR behalf according to scripture.
*Placing your faith in the FINISHED work of Jesus Christ is what saves.*
Nobody goes to heaven without faith. yours is misplaced, and Im sorry someone didnt care enough too tell you the Bible truth.
      Open. Read. BELIEVE your BIBLE
I read in my kjBible that on the cross, God was in Christ Jesus, not charging our sins against us, but placed all our sins on Jesus.
      2 Corinthians 5:19
Jesus was made THE PERFECT substitutionary sacrifice for sins to appease the soon wrath of God upon an unbelieving world.
      Ephesians 1:7
      Ephesians 5:2
      2 Corinthians 5:19
Jesus died for our sins according to scripture, was buried *with* our sins, and three days later arose *without* my sins.
Getting my hair wet, walking the isle, kneeling at the alter, or rubbing the rosery has NOTHING to do with getting my sins forgiven.
No amount of crying tears, holding on, no getting my life right, or quitting bad habits, forgave my own sins either.
The moment I simply *agreed with God* that ALL my sins were forgiven on the cross, he was buried WITH my sins, and rose again three days later WITHOUT my sins, I was sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.
      1 Corinthians 15:1-4 kjv
"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." - Ephesians 4:30 KJV
TODAY is the day of *salvation.*
All your sins were already forgiven at the cross.
      2 Corinthians 5:18,19
      1 Corinthians 15:1-4
      Romans 16:25
Want to be saved and go to heaven?
Its NOT about what you do in your flesh, its because of WHAT and WHO you BELIEVE.
On the cross, God was in Christ no longer charging our sins against us. He reconciled himself to us.
Now believe, and be ye reconciled back to God and be SAVED!
Believe today, and heaven is your home.
Ephesians 2:8,9 Says salvation is NOT of yourselves.
Not of any fleshly works, but by simply believing that what Jesus has already accomplish for us, was enough.
      Hope this helps.

I don’t think you or I want to even accept it from them. They may want to avoid asking you for forgiveness because it’s too painful for them to admit, maybe. But we must let it go because it makes us bitter or fearful of someone else who could hurt us. We become scared of love and being loved. No more joy and happiness in life. We can’t live freely like this.

Four keys of forgiveness are unvictimizing yourself and no longer putting yourself as the center of the story of your hurt (and releasing judgement on the offender), having empathy for the offender, having compassion on the offender, and loving the offender (love is an action and can be done by simply blessing, praying for, and being kind to the offender)

Hmm is that so? Anything in the past i think about brings the full emotions of what i was feeling at the time. Regardless of how i feel now. When this happened in front of my psychiatrist she looked concerned and then recommended cbt. I have to remember to stay in the present while i remember things that happened. And not to time travel in my mind. But that's where my memories are . Ugh. I'm screwed up lol.

Good point but I am thinking if one could go one step further and ask God to take the memory of the incident away as if it never happened knowing God would protect you from the incident ever happening again to you because you have done this and with revelation and trust in God he would alert you not of the previous incident but to stay clear of a person or situation that would cause you
      offense.

With God all things are possible.
Not knowing what happened to you, as we all experience level of hurt that only our Creator who has made us is able to heal and understand. I'm glad you have received help from a therapist. That's what you could do in the natural (your works ) now receive help in the spiritual ( by faith).
Because faith without works is dead. As pastor said forgiveness is not an option but a command.
Bring all your hurts and to the Lord who loves you , pour out your heart in prayer and forgive yourself. I know he's a healer and of the mind too. Draw closer to Jesus, and remember he loves you and is you best cheerleader!
      Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    • @immy1074
      @immy1074 Год назад

Hmmm, if I understand you correctly. I'll start with a story.
My older children were tasked with taking the trash out from the basement and putting it on the deck, in anticipation of the upcoming trash day. When that day came, they took the kitchen trash out so I assumed they did the trash on the deck. ( In high summer it is impossible to enjoy the deck because of mosquitoes).
Two weeks, went by and because the deck door is covered by a curtain, I finally looked out and saw the trash. With dread I opened the lid, and what I saw " stained my mind with utter horror", I saw millions of maggots crawling over the trash and about to pour out of the can. 😩, I placed the lid back on, and said a prayer of Lord strengthen me not to get raging mad, I did not I was calm , got some duct tape. Taped it down shut and placed a sign on the trash in English and Spanish for the to throw the whole can away and not to open it.
Spoke to the kids about Never letting that happen again. I never bought a can, after that would spray the bags with bleach or pepper to keep them from being torn open( it works).
Because the memory of the offense, was so searing and I did not want it to stay " emblazoned" in my mind. I asked the Lord to take the very memory from my mind. He did! So now when I recall it I have to squint to remember, it's like it happened to someone else, the great offense was removed from my mind.

      1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
He has All Power, he is Holy and Sovereign Psalm 91 14-16 tells us why and how he will deliver us because we have known his name.
Take time to know him, in prayer that's communication or communing with him, reading his word( we will learn his very loving compassionate character) and doing good ( because he is Holy so shall we also should be holy).
      Psalm 34
We got this! From his power from on high, his Holy Spirit

Forgiveness is not forgetting your abuse while it may help temporarily in the long run it doesn't integrate your trauma as a whole it blankets the trauma and leads you to open yourself up to more abuse later on. One must integrate the whole trauma into a rational understanding of why you should not allow yourself to be abused again. You cannot allow people to deceive you and you must put your foot down and practice intolerance of evil. Tolerance of an evil individual leads to more and more evil. You cannot be someones punching bag over and over again. That is why forgiveness should only be used as a tool to integrate your experience rather than perpetuate an abusive situation. Simply put forgive yourself while forgiving your enemy and when you heal do not forget they are the enemy and will abuse you again given the opportunity.

To overcome anything we must abide in Christ. Be consumed with Jesus, nothing else. Let everything else go. "I am the Vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me has life. Whoever separates from Me withers, dies, and is cast into the fire (Hell). Abide in Me. Apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15) "It is my prayer that they will be one with You just as I am." (John 17) Close the sin doors for satan and his demons. Forsake all sin. Forgive all your enemies for all things. Judge nobody about anything. Often people end up in sin because they judged someone else. For example, people who judge people for being homeless often end up homeless themselves. Judging is a very dangerous thing. "Humble yourselves before God and He will lift you up." (Bible) Hope this helps.

Please please pray for me. I have a hard time forgiving myself. Forgiving myself for missed opportunities, not following through with going back to school to get some training that could have made my life better. Not standing up to the bullies in my life. Being a coward and not fighting back. I believe shakespear said it best "A brave man dies but once a coward dies many times" And not so much getting into fist fights. But just sticking up for myself when need be. I dont like when you call me that, or when you throw me under the bus like you do, andif i don't get satisfaction i just leave the situation. I keep thinking of situations where i could have handled things better. Its been said hindsight is often 20/20. Im kind of thinking of writing stories where instead of rolling over and letting these people to continue to abuse me and walk all over me with sharpened football cleats I stick up for myself and take a stand against the bullies in my life. Please pray for me that I come to terms with these feelings and learn to forgive myself. Thank you

@@DRVenard I get the point you are making but not everyone will side with or relate to that way of thinking. Not being able to forgive ones self comes with having low self esteem and perhaps a lack of self love. Those words might not help everyone but they might help others to love and forgive themselves like God loves and forgives them.

To Christians forgiveness is not a choice, it's a command because if we do not forgiveness others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us.
Matt 6:14-15 says, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
Unforgiveness is actually a burden that never stops growing and it is the cause for may people's sicknesses in this world. To be someone is accepts to forgive others, is to be someone who is wise and has accepted is live a peaceful life on earth.

Her daughter of age 4 yrs at that time just came out and told her mom God told her to tell her mom what happened during their care with this couple. The Pastor was molesting her when the wife was in shower and I was elder of that church but God told me to step down in January 2021 to care for a widow that was bedridden and I did as God directed to. Last year on thanksgiving God told her to tell her mom. I forgave them but they act like they are the victims and makes me angry. Please pray for the families involved and for me please.

I suspected. I chose beforehand to forgave her if she confessed. She did. It happened only once after we had a huge fight, she was utterly broken with remorse. I told her I forgive her because I love her more than she'll ever know.
But the pain in my heart is paralyzing. Thoughs of how it happened ect. And that I want to kill the guy or maybe seriously injure him keeps coming in swarms.
      I need prayer.
Ultimately we cheated on God since the beginning and we still do but Christ forgave us of the past, present and future sins. We must do the same with our wives because we are Christ' bride and he forgave us.
I can't imagine the pain God feels everyday because of our sins. Coz it's almost unbearable.
But wish it would go away fast. I can't tell her I'm hurting coz that will condemn her even more and she'll think I haven't forgiven her, I would make the wound bleed more.
You can't love fully if you know you haven't been forgiven fully. Like with us and God. We love Him coz He first loved us.
She can't know of the pain I'm in. I'm alone and it's really difficult.
I wish God would give me a word of wisdom or knowledge. I don't know, anything.
I'll pray for you and please pray for me too. Stay Strong.

Every christian thinks that the "father forgive them" means everyone was forgiven without faith and repentance.
Was Gestas, the one who mocks Jesus on the cross to the death, was he forgiven? He refuses to repent and mocks Jesus.
Peter had to remind the people to repent for crucifying Jesus in order the "father forgive them" to be granted upon them (Acts 2:36-38).

If not forgiven they would've continued to stay blind in sin. "While we were still sinners Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) That's why people sin. They can't see what they're doing. "The Lord's servant must not quarrel. He must be kind toward all, a good and patient teacher, who is gentle as he corrects his opponents, for it may be that God will give them the opportunity to repent and come to know the truth. And then they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who had caught them and made them obey his will." (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

    • @jaguar004
      @jaguar004 7 месяцев назад

@@user-bluetopaz777 Are you saying that if you do not forgive them, they will still continue to their wrong doing?
Even if God himself gives them opportunity to repent, its up to their decision if they will repent or not. God cannot override their free will.
Remember, some people will reject him that's why there are some people that will go to hell for choosing to be unrepentant just like those fellow believers that the church forbids to reconcile with because they are unrepentant will never have the heart to repent (Titus 3:10-11).
If so, why don't we just pray that Jesus forgives everyone's sin even they are unrepentant. All Jesus need to say is "father forgive them" and poof! everyone's sin will be magically forgiven without faith and repentance and everybody will go to heaven no matter how diabolical sinners they are and heaven will be filled with murderers, thieves and liars for everyone was unconditionally forgiven and have a free pass to heaven.

@@jaguar004 Jesus died so we could be forgiven. He paid for our sins on the cross. "While we were still sinners Christ died for us." (Rom 5:10, I think) "Do not marvel that I say you must be born again." (John 3:7) The thief on the cross next to Jesus was saved. He was repentant and believed in Jesus. In 2 Tim 2 it says that (paraphrase) "if we deal gently with sinners about their sin, maybe God will bring them to their senses and they can escape Satan's snare." People sin because they're blinded by it, they can't see the truth about what they're doing. Another scripture says "And such were some of you, but now you're ashamed of the things you used to do." Because now we see. Sin can't blind us to its sinfulness anymore. After the earth shook and the sky darkened the moment Jesus died the soldiers said "Surely He was the Son of God." They came to their senses. Before that they didn't believe He was God's Son. Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, having no idea the disaster that would bring because they stopped believing what God said and started thinking about what satan said. After they ate it they knew they were naked, but they weren't repentant, Eve blamed satan, Adam blamed Eve. That's why everything is such a mess in the world. People don't believe God's word and spend all their time listening to what the devil says.

I forgave someone years ago for something that happened 20 years BEFORE THAT, but try though I might, I struggled against hurt and anger on a rotating basis toward this person. I asked Jesus for help to divest myself of this cyclical fight I kept having with my emotions toward the person who hurt me. I said Lord I’ve forgiven this person!!! Please help me!! How do I get rid of this cyclical battle that is making me miserable? I want to FORGIVE FROM THE HEART like you told us to. Please help!!!!
Well, it wasn’t long after this that The Lord told me to give my half-karat set of diamond earrings to a pastor’s wife who always wanted a modest pair of diamond earrings. She told me a few months later that she had to pray IN TONGUES a really long time over these earrings before she could wear them. Finally the anger and overwhelming hurt she felt when she tried to wear the earrings left her. It was also about this time I was delivered from the anger and hurt I felt towards the person who hurt me.

I forgive my husband. But I cannot reconcile until he works himself into becoming a man of God. We have been married 14 years, for which 12 of them he have not worked, but has spent our savings. Since I am extremely tired, frustrated and ye a rning intimacy, I do not enjoy sex so Im willing to let it happen but with no enjoyment, hence he does not talk to me, does not share any interest with me, neither church, God, outings, nothing, continues to spend money. He spent all day playing video games and do not want to get help from a professional. He needs to find himself again. Until then, I forgive him but I wont reconcile until he is ready to be the protector and provider at home.

How to forgive? I can't let go of the pain of my father's perversion. I am 60 but haven't been able to let it go. I couldn't tell anyone because it would hurt so many people, including my grandmother. No one would have probably believed me anyway. He's gone now and I want to please God. I just don't know how to actively forgive someone who broke my trust in all people.

Here because I need forgiveness. The thing so thought I was doing right to please God were actually sinful and incredibly hurtful to those around me. I have asked forgiveness of many of these people, and some have yet to respond, though I told them they did not have to respond. However I deeply want to reconcile with them, and one individual in particular. I believe it is even God's Will that we be reconciled and am praying for that; if anyone else could pray for me as well, please do and feel free. Thank you and God bless. ❤️🙏

What about those who cannot forgive themselves ?

We have to. Otherwise Jesus died for nothing in our case. He died so we could be forgiven. We don't want to take the grace of God in vain. If He forgives us, we don't have the right not to forgive ourselves. If we don't forgive ourselves then how could we receive the gift of salvation? What we're saying is is that we're unworthy of it. And we are. But Christ has already died for us. We don't want His suffering for us to be in vain. "You are saved by the Gospel if you hold firmly to it--unless it was for nothing that you believed." (1 Corinthians 15:2b)
