This must have been filmed before the virus. How timely it's released now, right in the middle of it all! We choose to worship in the midst of this virus and all the chaos in the world and our lives! The other song they just released about sending revival is also so timely! I pray that there would be a great revival and awakening through all of this! May the Lord protect all the people who do not have the virus, heal those that do, and comfort the family and friends of those who have died. Lord, bring an end to this plague, stop it in its tracks.
"Through the fire, storm and flood" what great words. God is with us through this virus also. God is still the God of healing and of answered prayer. Be safe, protect your precious families and do what you can to help those around you in need. There is always someone worse off than you. All you have to do is look around.
Choosing to worship when things are not good is a deeply moving thing. I have been there. You will rarely have a better opportunity to be this close to our Creator, a glimpse of heaven.
I choose to worship!! All the time it's better than give my strenght to the battles ... Thank you guys for sharing this beautiful song!! Greetings from Colombia!
The 1,4,6,5 are the notes/chords in the key of the song. 1 being the root chord (in the case of what Chris is playing it would be a C chord), 4 being an F, 6 being an a A (Am7 in this song I believe), 5 being a G. Its just a way of writing a chord chart to make transposing a bit quicker.
Yes Nashville numbering system. It means you can learn what the chords to a song are independent of the key that you’re playing it in. Supposedly originated by session musicians in Nashville who were fed up of learning a song before a recording session only to have the singer decide they wanted to change the key. Most contemporary worship songs use the 1, 4, 5 and 6min chords (think G, C, D and Emin). Wish that wasn’t the case, but it’s what most chart songs use as well!
"forever be my soul"? ...not so good lyrics really? ...lyrics should have been "forever be my God" ...no matter how times its already been said ...beautiful song though ...im just a musician with an opinion, not a hater ...i actually really love it
Pity you don't choose to OBEY then, because without obedience there's no worship. In fact, disobedience is rebellion, and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft - it's a salvation issue. Start simply by removing that ridiculous affectation of a hat, because a man who covers his head in church is dishonouring Christ.
first off, your attitude, why so snotty Brother? ...and also your dead wrong ...its not men who were to cover their heads it was women ...and if you do the biblical research you find that was Paul's command to the Jews only at that time, it was not intended for our non Jewish post modern church ...remember these were letters to churches Paul oversaw ...they had traditions that became actual laws that God never commanded them ...because if traditions were broken it would create great strife ...they would stone you over breaking tradition ...thats why Jesus came back at that time, because Jews in their zealous religiosity had added so many laws to God's Word that He never commanded ...and how bout Paul not letting women speak? ...you think Paul meant women were never to ask a question in church forever? ...no, it means husbands teach your wives at home so they are not disorderly in church ..i pray the Lord remove this religiosity off you in Jesus name SuperJeremiah333
I'm not sure what that means - if you mean I've been listening to or enjoying it then no - I don't listen to stuff when there's obvious disobedience on display - it's dangerous, because however good it may seem you don't know where the inspiration has come from. I remember hearing about a famous composer of secular music - very beautiful stuff - but who, it turns out, was deliberately using spiritism and mediumship, but we can tap into things we don't realise when we're not walking the walk. Just because it sounds good doesn't mean it's good - Humanism sounds good but it's the devil's religion - this takes discernment. I've yet to hear a modern praise song written by this current epidemic of long haired, hat wearing, tattooed, pierced gender benders, that had an anointing on it - it's always nice song, shame about the Spirit, but if you know an exception I'd be glad to hear it. God bless.
Rend Collective, you have helped me dig into the Bible and want/crave music about Christ! One of the first things I did when I started to become a Christian was search for music I can enjoy listening to. Hat or no hat, I’m listening to your music over what I used to listen to. I don’t know what’s right or wrong. I’m still searching, I’m still seeking, but I have a love for Christ and a relationship with my Lord and Savior and your music helps me to get that place on the daily that I need to be at. Jesus Christ is on my mind when listening to your music. I love your worship music and this new album is some much needed fire!!

what does 1, 4,6,5, mean? :-\ trying to play it
Hey there...they have the chords on their website for all of their music, including this song.
Google "Nashville Numbers" and you can learn more also.

The CC needs to be corrected ... the words are saying awful things according to the CC .. not good
"forever be my soul"? ...not so good lyrics really? ...lyrics should have been "forever be my God" ...no matter how times its already been said ...beautiful song though ...im just a musician with an opinion, not a hater ...i actually really love it
*looks at the lyrics

Wilfred Teo Weijie it’s definitely their accents. They always have great lyrics.

Where in the Bible does it say wearing a hat while worshipping Jesus is dishonoring Christ?
