Very intriguing lens i probably never would have considered. Might be particularly good for night street scenes that don’t require freezing motion. I too have the Nikon 40mm f2.0, but could see adding this in to the kit.
Brightin Star 28mm F2.8 Full Frame Lens Black Lacquer Ultra-Thin Pancake Lens for Leica M Mount Sony E/Canon RF/Fuji XF/GFX/Nikon Z Adapter Ring $340 US. Saw a couple of reviews on it but a little heavier than a lens cap. Cheers!
With those type of lenses are usually made for Leica M Cameras. When extending the lens hood out and looking thru the Rangefinder there is a small blockage of the scene. Not in the picture. So if you apply stabilization the vignetting should disappear especially in movie mode. Cheers!
I honestly love the rendition and the warmer colour tone. The lens looks very pretty as well and would compliment either the Z f or the Z fc very nicely. I have also come to expect good build quality from Chinese manufacturers, and I I genuinely feel they make photography very fun. Thanks for the review and samples gentlemen.
Let’s not be elitist. There are folks that might not be able to get their hands on the latest and greatest OEM lenses, great that @russandloz are giving air to a few alternatives. I certainly always am on the lookout for something a bit different.
Steptoe & Son have delivered the goods. This sounds excellent. 👍
Are we messy? Lol
@@russandloz The RUclips algorithm is now serving up old Steptoe & Son videos to me. (Surveillance Capitalism) PMSL 🤣

It does make an interesting shoot, I guess I should have explored the difference in low light capability

Best lens I have for b&w street photography. Specially with my zf. Not a lens for auto focus lammers
Wondering if you guys can also test the Voigtlander Nokton 35 1.2? Thanks for all you do 👏🏻
If some one sends it us we’d love to!
Nice video chaps 😀

Yes, shame its dx as it is a bit annoying cropping in post and seeing on the back of the screen
honestly i would pay a few hundred more for auto focus -better than $7k for nikon version
Nice 👍 I'm from India
ZF owner here, So how do you focus with it in manual without the lens having any information sent to the camera?
There are a few ways. Best way we like is 100% zoom then move focus ring.
Come on you two had a good channel and now this.
Didn’t like the video? Or lens?
I like this content too. Keep it up. Why would Nikon users have no interest in this?
