    Appreciate the attention you give to all parts of the game, very important for new players to see videos besides “THIS is what YOU need to do EVERY DAY! How to make a trillion gold!” and just rattle off things a new player has no concept of

    I am beyond thankful for you. Instant subscribe- you understand some players (actually most) who are new and returning may not want an immediate straight shot to the meta build until they get a hold of the basics first. This is goes way past helpful to specifically targeted content and I will be watching a lot more of your videos.

    Its really nice build, but if you want to play with "Autotarget" disabled then replace sword with dagger...works in awesome way!! Heart stab runs through the enemy and gets behind them then one can either escape or again get in the battle

    One mention. From what i remember, the pistol whip actually hits 3 targets (the dmg hits 3 targets, the stun is still on the single target). Good in aoe

    i just got both HoT and PoF, will this build work with either daredevil/deadeye? ofc it will need some tweaks to be done here and there, but im intrigued if this is actually a recomended build to do with any of those elite specs.
    great video, keep it up

    I leveled Thief using pistol pistol power build which generated 25 might stack :D that was fun build to level with ... also you set your weapons one for each weapon sets and when you swapped they would prok instead of having four pistols you need only two

    • @KikiTheHobo
      @KikiTheHobo 2 года назад +1

      I joined GW2 around the same time you wrote this comment. You pretty much just need to start leveling up and figuring out the systems on your own. The only important things are to do every objective on the maps, try out all the weapons and found the playstyle that suits you the most, read through the "talent" system, a.k.a. check on what you can spend your points and unlock the traits/abilities which you find the most useful. What I'd advise to every new player is, to search for videos where they explain those little game settings or options, that are improving your quality of life, that help getting a better playstyle and which offer useful tips. There are a lot of new player guides out there with lots of non-race/profession specific hints and tips.
      Let me know, if you have already played in these last 2 months and already know these things!

  • @colexian

    Not sure if this was changed since the video but the explanation for basilisk venom is very incorrect now. It lasts for 30 seconds but only affects your next attack.
    It does not turn enemies to stone for the entire 30 second duration, just the first enemy you hit during that timer.

    Bro... with dye is that? Black Orange.... SOOOO SICK

  • @SelosXIII
    @SelosXIII 2 года назад +1

    How you described Baisilisk Venom sounded wrong to me. The venom buff lasts indeed for 30 secs but is gone if it is applied to an enemy, meaning it procs only one time. It's very useful in group content if you want to get rid of a defiance bar, otherwise I prefer the other elites for leveling/openworld content.
    The tooltip of Pistol Whip doesn't include the evasion time after the first strike that stuns (you can see your character is blurred out) during the cleave animation, wich is about 1,25 sec. This helps to evade incoming damage/interupting the skill by enemies via crowd control. Also the first strike that stuns is only applied to your main target.

    • @Winri93
      @Winri93 2 года назад +2

      Just in case you or someone else still doesn't know the answer to your question: it's because of the traits he chose in the trickery specialization line. There are traits that give boons on steal and another one that dazes the enemy when using steal

  • @troyrarehale2517

    32:56 your deadly arts trait,, Why do you have dagger training when you don't have a dagger equipped.. You would be better off using signet of power giving bonus passives to 3 of your signets and reduced cooldowns.. miles late but i just started playing 2 weeks ago and its time i started learning skills and trait effects.

    • @blacksparkss21

  • @machopi
    @machopi Год назад

    yeah i really don't enjoy being 'that guy', but dual pistols is several orders of magnitude better than sword/pistol in literally every single aspect for leveling
    it's safer, faster, does far better sustained damage, incomparable signet burst, better sustain and more
    sword/pistol is a meme in comparison
