The best tip I could add to the list would be - plan your yearly Ren Faire outings with more care and *skip King Richard's Faire entirely*.
Listed below are ten annual Ren Faires, all in New England, spanning from mid-May to early February (approximate dates listed since some haven't announced their 2023 season dates yet), and none of them involve things that King Richard's Faire has become synonymous with, like: ticket fiascos & scams, being turned away for lack of parking/being over legal occupancy limits, getting stuck in Cape Cod traffic for 3+ hours before even getting a tire into the parking lot, minimum purchases of food/drink vouchers that are non-refundable, and of course, knowingly contracting with anti-Semitic, white supremacist vendors.
