They definitely had some oofs but overall it was a great year is think. Definitely need more sodas and less of the same characters on the pops. Great video John
One of the biggest con is the RESTOCK!!!! Hated some of my expensive pop price drops because of the restock!!!! Is one of the reasons that I’m not buying too many pops and getting rid off big part of my collection 🤬

For me though my issues with Funko is when they issue an item like the Stranger Things Soda Cooler and then literally a few weeks later they were offering it at a 50% discount. For the customers that bought it at full price it can leave a bad taste in their mouth and cause them to decide to not buy your products until they are discounted. This hurts the sales of new products could potentially turn away customers from trusting your company. If Funko can discount a brand new item that quickly, then perhaps they are selling it at too high of a price to begin with. With regards to NFT’s there literally is no incentive to purchase packs, when you can directly buy the redeemable’s in the aftermarket and not waste money on a gamble. Great Monday Motivation! Do not set too high of a goal because you will likely give up on it if the results are too hard to achieve. Best to set small goals that can be realistically achieved.
Another great Pro and Con video, my friend. I think the EQL/ Pre-Ordee system for the SDCC Box of Fun was a wrong call in my opinion. It stopped the exciting rush to grab your favourite mascot, and the EQL caused some people to get more boxes than they wanted. The number of boxes has also been an issue. They are still up for sale on Funko Europe, so I think they need to cut the number in half to create some urgency. I was disappointed that we didn't get a box for NYCC. The two big cons should have a box with the mascots and Freddy/ Franny variants. Sodas also needs to come back in a big way, I agree with all your comments on the soda issue.
I loved the new Pokemon Funko pops and the Goosebumps ones that Funko made for this year and I can't wait to get my hands on them for next year. I wish they could make more horror video game characters that people would love. Sabrina Griffin

I've collected for over 22 years, mostly horror but, I have been with Funko since the bobblehead days and with the Pops since they came out. I seldom buy anymore POPs. That being said, I am shocked that the Pops are still around and being produced like they are. The one thing with Funko is that they do pull you back in on occasion. For me it was the "A Christmas Carol" Pops. I feel like Funko has had many failed attempts with different lines in the attempt to strike "GOLD AGAIN."I don't know what the future of FUNKO for the future. The company did survive because of the "FUNATICS!" Cool, informative video.
As someone that is not from the US, I didnt experience any of those cons. But I personally wanted them to release some new named Clone Troopers from The Clone Wars. On the other hand, the fact that they released a Lucifer pop AND announced Kaiju no. 8 which I had been saying I wanted for months, is huge Ws for me
I've said it before I'll say it again about the art the clown soda. That chase sticker in my heart of hearts I think that is directly on the factory that made them. Yes maybe Funko wasn't clear with them. We also got to remember it is a new factory so mistakes do happen. Hopefully it is a one-time mistake.
went to an FYE and they said they once had an entire wall full of funkos and they weren’t selling. now that they’re just 3 shelves, hype’s kinda picked up, but they don’t have the time to scan all the SKUs, so i sat and pulled out boxes til i got tired of it. Chases look cool, but not worth hunting for me.

Keep making limited number pops and sodas. Project Fred might have worked better if they put more thought into what people like and what they would put money into. No more restocks, they sell out that is that. I like the pre order so that you got the pop if you wanted but they only made enough to cover those wanting the pop. You made a lot great points in this video. One more thing that I think should be changed is if Funko Vaults a pop, it should not re appear as a re release 2 or 3 years down the line. Vaulted should mean vaulted. Sodas should have lower piece counts and please don’t put the chase sticker on the can.
2024 for Funko definitely had some ups and downs, my biggest down isn’t really funkos fault but they switched the delivery company they use in the uk and since a product brought from Funko hasn’t shown up at my door, it’s always the wrong address. I think 7/10 is a fair score, Monday motivation is solid again. Strong 2025 ahead.
When it comes to the QR code stickers… what stops someone from taking out the actual pop and putting in a fake… the code should have been incorporated on the actual figure not just the box..
That's a very good point! Like I said, a step in the right direction when it comes to fakes. Most people do fake the sticker, especially comic con stickers, more than the actual Pop figure itself.

I miss the social experience that Funko brought with the team lead by Sully. They would go live and make it fun. Once they were cut a lot went downhill. Now with the new leadership it's just another toy company.
i think still funko should only do about 5 -8 funkos per con as i think when they do loads its to much ,and they need to do more og funkos from like marvel or star wars or others ,and not keep redoing the same funko, and maybe try to do limited funkos for diffrent counties ,and maybe for the funday box again give europ a better chance of getting the limmited peace's
I think 5-8 con exclusives would be too few honestly. The size catalogs they had in 2024 felt good. Gives a pop or two in each genre for everyone to be excited about. Plus, people spend thousands to travel to these cons every year and then they wait hours in line to get them. Giving them only a few wouldn’t make the wait worth it. The bigger issue is the quality of con exclusives.
Worst year for funko in years in my opinion. Star Wars, Marvel (comics) and DC (comics) were very subpar with barely anything new chararcters. Mainly rehashes, repaints, restocks and remakes of the same mainline characters mostly.

I think alot of people took it personally when they made unnumbered sodas and they refused to buy unnumbered no matter how good the mould was, the 2nd was I feel like Funko just priced sodas up to high to quickly so it put the price of sodas just at pricing that was not really reasonable especially us overseas collectors. I feel like Funko had a few good hits but i feel they had some really rotten misses.. i definitely found this year I was pushed more towards Lego purchases then Funko purchases and alot of the time only chased after Funko through NFT drops. Funko could easily silence all critics by dropping a Ventress, Starkiller and Plagueis. Instead we get the same repeats over and over.
Throw in a Commander Wolfe too and that would be a pretty legendary line up.
