That’s why I love my music teachers and we’re genuinely normal friends with them, they don’t act all snobby and higher than us and act like they can’t initiate conversation with us because it’s unprofessional, they sit down and actually talk about the small things too like where they grew up and their relationship factors(yes I know it’s a strange one lol but believe it or not I can tell you a lot about theirs) and it’s honestly so nice to just sit there and have a laugh with the most down to earth friendly teachers :)

I grew up never having celebrated my birthday (I grew up as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses) and it was very alienating seeing all of my peer celebrating their lives when I was just stuck telling myself ‘happy birthday’. Kicker is my birthday is 3 days before Christmas. Double depressing.
I love this video for many reasons. His students obviously care for him, which tells me he really cares for them. Also you never know what a person has been through or going through, so small acts of kindness can really help those who may be needing to know that people care for them and they're not alone. While she was out, we snuck into the classroom and prepped a surprise party for her, and when she came back she started to cry a little. My whole family way jehovah witness we still celebrated everyone for the kids at least 18+ and it stopped but no matter the religion every child deserves to have a cake a party and a good time when they get a year older you only turn every age once
Yeah, they don’t even give each other presents for Birthdays OR Christmas! Apparently they only gift each other presents at their parents’ wedding anniversary, or something stupid like that.
I’ve only had 1 birthday cake when I was a kid. Well technically it was shared between me and another kid when I was staying at battered women and children’s shelter. I was like 8 I believe. So almost 21 years ago was the last time. It’s rare I get gifts and I cherish them like crazy when I do.
Those are sweet and considerate kids. That birthday cake made him feel appreciated and loved by his students. Truly a happy day. Kudos to these students parents for bringing them up right. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One of the best birthdays as adult I’ve ever had was last year. It was one where I didn’t want to do anything honestly. Just stay home with my lady and kids. Took a nap and a few of my in-laws came to my house with my favorite food and cake. It was simple but It meant the world to me.
