I'm waiting for the movie's release. In the original version, Cooper way to speech and visual aspect are really similar to Lenny, expecially in the older age. Wow!

For those concerned about about Bradley Cooper’s use of a prosthetic nose for his portrayal of Leonard Bernstein, be advised that his children are perfectly okay with it and have said so in the press. In case you were unaware, the use of makeup is part of the job: it’s called acting. 🎭
I’m Jewish and I actually find it more problematic that the couldn’t-be-whiter Carey Mulligan is playing a South American Hispanic woman; it’s like Natalie Wood playing Maria all over again…I’m aware that the family approved the casting but that won’t matter to a lot of Latina actresses who want more roles and representation. And the only reason I care is because I really want this movie to succeed and not get bogged down in controversy it could have easily avoided. It’s going to be hard enough trying to promote this with the strike going on (though maybe it’ll be over by November? I hope?)
bernstein's kids' approval doesnt mean anything to anyone with eyes. leonard bernstein had a large nose. the prosthetic bradley cooper is wearing looks nothing like it and is a joke. he looks like steve martin's character in 'roxanne.'
bradley cooper already has a big nose, im not sure why he thought it was necessary to make it even bigger for this role. cooper is half a foot taller than bernstein too. i wonder if he squatted down to make up for the pronounced difference.
@@breakfastmachine My guess is that Cooper thought it would be easier for him to disappear into the role if he got prosthetics, especially for someone so recognizable as Bernstein. And I do think it makes a difference, because Cooper himself has a distinctive look that might have been even more distracting than the fake nose. Of course they could have avoided this had Cooper confined himself to directing and cast someone Ashkenazi in the role (like Jake Gyllenhaal, whose own bid to do a Bernstein biopic was usurped by Cooper, but that's show business.)

No, he just decided to tell some lies before the filming of this movie in order to make it grow longer. Yes it's obviously a fake nose.
