- Marvel VS Capcom Infinite has been notorious for being a serious disappointment over various reasons, one of the biggest being the roster of playable characters. So I decided to show how both Marvel and Capcom could have made this roster so much better than what we actually got.

Not including Edward Falcon in a crossover fighter featuring magic rocks is the biggest missed opportunity in terms of this game's' roster.
The worst part about game is the omission of Phoenix Wright from the roster

Personally I would add Viewtiful Joe to MvCI. He is decently popular in UMvC3 , he is a fan favorite in the capcom scene. And the biggest reason of what he is in his game , He is a super hero in Movie Land. And since MvCI is more based on the movie scene for the Marvel side. It just makes since (probably just for me).

I heard Wesker was op in MVC3, hence why he got nerfed in UMVC3. Dr. Doom Is also pretty op from what I've heard in UMVC3

Outside of the glaring lack of FOX characters, I think the Marvel side of the roster is fine. It could have been better, but I can accept the Marvel side. It's the Capcom side that I was baffled by. Now, having both X and Zero in the roster is awesome for the Mega Man fanatic in me, but characters like Chris, Arthur, Nemesis, and fucking Spencer just makes the Capcom roster much weaker in comparison to the Marvel side, and even then, the Marvel side is just alright.
capcom's side just scream that most characters were chosen because they fulfill a function. ex: nemesis for the big guy, arthur for projectile heavy

Yea, I don't have a problem with the Marvel side either. The Capcom side really is more disappointing to me. Especially when given the fact that outside of X and Jedah, there aren't any new faces on that side. I was really hoping for Asura to be available, but maybe he'll be in as an extra DLC character assuming that MVCI is given the SFV treatment
I will be honest I don't understand the marvel fox hatred. Heck I watch a video that Disney buy fox so I don't get the hate.
It's not that people hate the FOX characters. It's the lack of them that bothers people. X-Men is a major franchise for Marvel, and X-Men characters have been with MvC from the beginning, so not having them be there is just crazy, and not in a good way.

I feel if the conflict between Fox and Disney was resolved, Deadpool should have replaced Gamora bc I feel she plays a bit similar to him.
Star Lord, Loki & Azura would of certainly been helpful to include, but the games issues go well beyond that.

Just because a character doesn't get chosen often doesn't mean that character isn't wanted, it just means the character sucks and people don't choose them because they don't want to lose.
Leon did made it in Marvel VS Capcom3 as a card. Because Mr.Resident Evil is Chris and DONTE is a DLC skin for the DMC3 Dante which no one in their right mind would buy

I must spread my knowledge. If you notice, all of the Marvel characters are from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, due to Disney refusing to allow anyone else from the rest of Marvel that they didn't own. Since X-Men and the Fantastic 4 are owned by Fox, they were not allowed to be included due to Disney not owning them. Same reason why Deadpool was also removed.

Disney vs Warner bros. would be awesome though it’d be more like Disney vs Cartoon Network since I would leave characters that rely on cartoon physics as only assist fighters (think MVC:Clash of Superheroes). The same goes for characters that can’t fight or have very little experience in fighting. Though some joke characters are fine (two max per side). I’d let Warner bros. also have Hanna Barbera characters if Disney gets to pull from both movies and tv shows. Though I would like there to be a Cartoon Network vs Nickelodeon.
Not a bad assessment, but this guy clearly doesnt know anything about mvc3/umvc. Thats not a requirement, but if he keeps using it mvc3 as a base argument, you need to actually have played the game and not just refer to “footage i saw online”. Spencer was a more accessible character with same function as spiderman and highly used. Firebrand was played a lot due to his unblockable corner combo, and how the hell does he not know about “respecting the pipe” with haggar?
Maybe for your next discussion video, you can talk about something SMG4 related, I mean you do like his videos after all and it would be a good way to talk about your thoughts towards the channel.
I know the MCU is important because thanks to that more people know the Marvel character but I think it should be a priority the comic book part instead of the MCU (That's why I call this game Marvel Cinematic Universe vs Capcom featuring Nova)

Marvel side: Punisher, Deadpool, blackcat, elektra, Ant, silver surfer, scarlet witch and quick silver.

What MvC3 videos are you watching? Firebrand and Dormammu were played a ton and Spencer and Haggar have won Evos, but you almost never saw anyone playing Wright, especially outside of pools.
I'm kinda dissapointed by no classic megaman. but Dr Wily should be there one day so we can have three robot masters like Bass, shadowman and crashman but oh well

Phoenix Wright's disappearance from Infinite was pretty disappointing, but kicking Deadpool out was a damn sin.
If I could make marvel vs capcom I would add mysterio mainly because he need a few attention it’s to also celebrate his appearance in the up coming movie spider man far from home
They were better off having a story with 1 or 2 characters from each franchise but have still have all the characters playable in the game people would of still brought it and play it

How to fix the Marvel vs Capcom franchise:
1. Reboot the franchise.
And 2. Give the rebooted franchise's gameplay balance the Street Fighter treatment.
It kind of sucks on how the DLC characters are probably the most appealing characters so far
I reckon what they could've done with mega man is:
-have classic mega man and have him possibly replace X/Sigma or just flat out include him to have classic mega man rep.
-Zero stays no matter what since he was popular in mvc3, Sigma and X can stay as well but mainly zero can be a megaman X rep.
-And finally, BRING BACK Tron Bonne she represents mega man legends, a series loads of capcom fans are begging to be brought back and has reached cult status. Tron was pretty popular in mvc2 because of her insane assist doing god tier damage and her infinite's, she was fairly popular during vanilla marvel 3 because of once again godlike assist even though she got nerfed pretty bad in ultimate. Although back in vanilla she got 2nd at an evo and even has her own evo moment in the FGC (evo moment 51.)
In my opinion, if we were to focus on the story and what characters make sense, here's what I would go for (I'm also bumping the roster up to 36):
Capcom:
-X, Zero, and Sigma, obviously
-Ryu, due to people loving his potential interactions with Hulk
-Jedah, and for that matter, Morrigan (but this time she fights him at the end)
-Edward Falcon
-Wesker, due to A.I.M.brella's collaboration with Jedah
-For that matter, Chris Redfield (I'm not a big fan of including villains without their respective heroes)
-Tessa (from Red Earth)
-Strider Hiryu and Grandmaster Meio (so you fight him rather than fight a bunch of drones while he's in the background)
-Chun Li (for reasons I'll get to later)
-M. Bison (in previous Marvel vs. Capcom games, an alternate version of him was kidnapping various Street Fighter characters and making them into cyborgs, with one of them being Shadow Lady, who used to be Chun Li)
-Dante (people *will* kill me if I don't include him)
-Captain Commando (I think it's kinda obvious)
-Monster Hunter (one of Capcom's new big series)
-Asura (connections to the Satsui no Hado)
Marvel:
-Ultron, obviously
-Ant-Man and the Wasp (founding Avengers, the former of whom also created Ultron in the comics)
-Thanos (due to the stones, and to get Satsui no Hado Thanos)
-Captain Marvel (see Captain Commando)
-Hulk (people want to see more of him and Ryu)
-Captain America and Spider Man (long runners, doesn't make sense to cut them)
-Iron Man (face of the MCU)
-Rocket Raccoon (surge of love for the Guardians of the Galaxy)
-Black Panther (Wakanda stage, and besides, he was long overdue)
-Thor (finish off the main Avengers)
-Loki (get a minor villain)
-MODOK (see Wesker)
-At least one of the supernatural Marvel heroes for the Dark Kingdom
-Wolverine (one of the faces of Marvel pre-MCU)
-Deadpool (rivals with Thanos for Death)
-Storm (also occasionally has connections to Wakanda, and originally was the most popular Marvel woman, so much that she was voted to beat Wonder Woman)

Weird to think that the marvel side was disliked since it relied too much on the MCU lineup back then, but now the MCU lineup as of 2020 will soon have Moon Knight, Ms.Marvel, Blade, Eternals, She-Hulk, and maybe even the X-Men. If Infinite only came around 2019-2020, I don’t think people would have complained about the marvel lineup

Who have you been watching when it comes to people playing characters? For example, Paradigm and Sacktap (two tournament players) both played Arthur and Haggar in UMvC3. Any character you name could use the same arguments to include them. "Put this character in because...highly requested." "Put that character in because...popularity." And I always thought that using gender as a reason to put a character in a game was a really lazy reason. It comes across more as a quota to meet rather than a genuine interest. I've never really given a damn who added. Just as long as I enjoyed the game. And if you were aware of the Fox situation, why would you keep naming characters who were associated with the studio? Hell, we don't even know how their selection process works. No matter who you put in, someone will be disappointed. I'm surprised you didn't mention Deadpool. I played him with Taskmaster and Captain America in the previous game. It was no big deal to me. I just picked up Captain Marvel.

The problem with the game is that it tried to make a serious story for a video game concept that doesn't need one.
Marvel vs Capcom is a silly concept by nature, whatever explanation as to why the Capcom and Marvel universes collide will be stupid.
But it doesn't really matter because the appeal of the game is that you are playing as your favorite Marvel and Capcom characters.
As such, discarding specific characters for story reasons is a big mistake
For a game called MVC INFINITE I would have thought it would have a infinite amount of characters (or close to it). maybe like maybe minimum 56 maximum 69 or 73 not. 30 or 38 or so. The previous game ultimate had like 49 so why go lower instead of higher

Also, I don't know what you're talking about since X hasn't been in one of these yet and his time is long overdue. As for Zero, I agree he's had plenty of time in the spotlight, though he just fits so perfectly in a fighting game that besides for already being in the last game he is still a top choice. I would have also liked to see some representation from the other series but I guess Capcom wanted to keep the relation, having X + Zero + Sigma and not mixing up the timelines or whatever, idk

I will say for capcom they could have used characters from that omimusha series as there superhuman and crap. I will say however your choices of frank west and phenoix wright especially phenoix wright is just so bad and unfitting. Non fighting characters should not be put in a fighting game peorid and capcom picking to many of there human reps doesn't fit when there crossed with marvel characters. For your marvel choice dormomu should stay because well he's doctor strangers bad guy and Loki should be added because he's Thor's rival. In my opinion fighters should be chosen by for every good guy you have there rival.
