Im currently building a custom harp-like instrument and need to install multiple piezos wired in parallel to a single output. Im wondering where the best piezo placement is: on the resonant space, or where the string reachs the resonant space. Theres water involved meant to warp the tone but i dont know where the piezos will pick up that affect the best. Itll be trial and error anyways, but any advice before i start? Also what was that adhesive tape stuff It looks better than what i was gunna use 😂
This was great . I just did an install in a mid-sized harp and some of the lower strings buzz the wire around inside . I was going to use duct-tape to fasten them. Do you think it will affect the resonance of the instrument at all? haha we will find out tomorrow.
hello, let me introduce myself, a kolintang player, a traditional musical instrument from Indonesia. can a kolintang be installed on an instrument like that?
Are you wondering if you can install this pickup on a kolintang? I don't think this style of pickup would be the best option. It would be better to use microphones. Or you would want to get a custom system that would include a piezo disc on each bar.
Are you referring to the the black plastic, adhesive backed mounting clip? We can get you one of those. Please reach out to us through our website - www.harpkit.com

A little duct tape on the inside of the harp should not noticeably affect the tone.
It did not at all :) thanks for the reply . Great content you rock :)@@HarpKit

Do you sell just the hardware jack clamp for external mounting?
