    My favorite language learning content is when I get to watch two different teachers just talk more naturally for 10-20 mins. It doesn't feel like someone is trying to teach me and it feels like I also get to relax and listen in on their conversation (which also helps with language learning). I would really love to see something like that on this channel!

      Thank you so much for your suggestion! 😊I love the idea of watching two teachers have a more natural conversation. I’ve watched similar videos from other Chinese educational channels, it's a fantastic approach. I’ll definitely try to find other teachers to do that with me in the future!
      From your comment, I can tell you're already at a pretty advanced level, which is amazing! Keep up the great work! 🙌

    I just stumbled over this video just now - but you are really to understand. My level is way below HSK 4-5 but I was at least able to pick out words I have heard before!
    The English subtitles on the top were great - not distracting but useful for me to peek when I needed it (basically all the time)
    Subtitles with the pinyin were super useful! If I would be a higher level I might skip to simplified Chinese only and reading while listening :) One of my favorite ways of learning languages.
    I also enjoy conversation between 2 teachers (see other comments) but I felt really like you are talking to me and some other friends :) It felt very comfy.
    Thank you for making the video! 😊

      Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 I’m so happy to hear that the video was helpful and that the subtitles worked well for you! Your feedback gives me so much motivation to keep improving and making more videos like this. I will defo consider inviting another teacher later to make the type of video you mentioned :)
      And I love that you felt comfy while watching - that’s exactly the vibe I was going for! Like having a casual chat with friends 💬
      Thank YOU for taking the time to comment - it means a lot to me. Let’s keep learning Chinese together! 加油💖

Nice speed - BUT - unfortunately a little over my hear as I am a beginner. Looks like your content is for intermediate speakers/learners - I'll check back in a year to see it I can grasp it. This is a very good video. You do a good job. I think it is a good idea to have the chinese at the bottom and the english (or pinyin) at the top. I bought a Chinese book for foreign learners on amazon and it had the hanzi and the pinyin together. in parallel lines. That was not good because my eye/brain naturally gravitates to the english/ pinyin. It is best to keep them separate as you do. Thank you.

    Great video, thank you very much. I do like the subtitles presented this way. I would love to read an English translation of Kore-ada's book, his films are wonderful.
    My ways of information I have are that I definitely read books, but also watch films with high emotional content, to feed the mind and soul. I also use RUclips, but I found I lost interest in Podcasts too quickly and still can not get back into them.
    But my final way to input information is to talk to someone face to face. It feels corny to say it, but I can get so much from it. It's wonderful.

    • @chineseatdawn666
      @chineseatdawn666  15 дней назад +1

      I love Kore-eda’s films too, but it seems there’s no English version of that book yet! :(
      I completely agree with you that films are a great way to nourish the mind and soul. It’s funny, I didn’t even mention films as a way to gain knowledge, but they really do teach me a lot.
      And yes, face-to-face conversations are one of the best ways to learn. I could spend hours interacting with people in person. Thank you for bringing up these wonderful ideas! And btw I always enjoy your comments - they bring such freshness and inspiration to me. Thanks so much for engaging with my content!

    You are right about short videos. They are good for a break from work or study but mostly not very useful except as an intro to someone new you want to follow up on. I do however like those building site disaster shorts lol. Shorts can be good for language beginners and also for new language channel posters working out how to make them. They’re not useful for Chinese past about hsk2 for grammar but conversationally you always need longer form.
    I used to say the term brain rot in the 90s to describe daytime tv which at that time in my country was dominated by yank soaps and studio manufactured conflict shows like Donahue. To this day I mostly refuse to turn on the tv before 6 or 7 pm but now there’s lots of (un)reality shows and repeats.
    Keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve hit a sweet spot matched with your calm style and understandable speech. Look after your eyes. You’re only young so this is a must for you. Five or ten minutes away from all screens including tv for five or ten minutes every half hour. You’re eyes probably aren’t weak as such just very short sighted like my wife’s.

    • @chineseatdawn666
      @chineseatdawn666  13 дней назад

      Thanks for the sweet comment! 😊Totally agree - short videos are perfect for beginners or creators finding their groove. And "brain rot" 😂 - so true, it’s like the reality show epidemic today! Appreciate the love for my style, and I'll definitely take those eye breaks seriously. You’re looking out for me! 🙏
