    Thank you very much for these words. Really considering the race(s) for 2024. And with some luck another one from my group is willing to.
    We're pretty much average, started last year, riding blue to red grade trails. Did la clusaz, les gets, morzine, les saisies, evo bike park and some much lesser known tracks and trails.
    From what you've shown and what i've seen, besides drops and huge downhill sections, at least i haven't seen any jumps (that's what i'm afraid the most rn, will have to conquer this before :/)

      Awesome, give me a shout if you'd like to join us!
      There are little no jumps in the race trails, all natural style tech trails!

      @@MtbTrailHubhey hey~
      So it's been 6 months and the event is nearing really quick.
      I enlisted myself with another lad (maybe one late bird?).
      I think i should be readh for the physical bit (been training with several difficult trails with 10-15% consistent slope for kilometers)
      Bjt unfortunately the weather's been really bad these past weeks so in terms of technique, i'm a bit affraid; although my (bad) habit is to just brake rear and let everything slide past, not sure it'll work out well...
      Missed out on the Belier la clusaz this weekend but went on the enduro 'les saisies to albertville' this sunday, pretty confident, event thoug on a black trail.
      So ueah i guess see ya on site~
      Look for the worst dressed one (Hawaiian shirt and shorts maybe?).
      Matt

      Nice one mate. Well done 😁 i never got to race. As i was getting out of the gondola someone dropped their bike on my ankle, so it was game over before i even started. So im going back next year 👍

    We are thinking about doing te megavalanche in 2024. Your explanation around 5.59 in the video is convincing for me. I’v visited a lot of bikeparks in the alpes. We mostly ride the red lines. My question; I have a canyon spectral CF 8. 125/140 travel. Is the bike suitable for the mega?

    • @MtbTrailHub
      @MtbTrailHub  Год назад +1

      There's no two ways about it, It is a black graded trail in sections. Be prepared for that.
      The more travel the better in my opinion, I'd want 150 at least tbh. However if you've ridden Bike parks in the Alps previously on that specific bike then I can't see a problem with it.

    Is there an e-bike category or can you hire a bike over thee ?

    • @MtbTrailHub

      Yeah there’s an ebike category, you can hire bikes too. Not cheap though at around 90euro a day.

    Thanks for the info bro. Could it be done on a hardtail?

    • @rarelycomments
      @rarelycomments Год назад +3

      I've seen people do it, but it doesn't look fun.
      I did it for the first time this year on 150mm full suspension and that was hard enough!

    • @sentry_rider2573
      @sentry_rider2573 Год назад

      @@rarelycomments it’s just a mad idea that I thought would be fun to do. I could do it on my full sus. But wanna do something different. I won’t be winning any races bro 🤙

    • @rarelycomments
      @rarelycomments Год назад +2

      @@sentry_rider2573 I would strongly recommend doing it on full sus first to get a feel for the difficulty!
      One of the hardest aspects is getting knocked off line and having to deal with unexpected and horrible stuff without crashing. A hardtail significantly reduces the margin for error.
