I'm not a game developer, I do custom reports and excel development as a freelancer, but i do like watching game dev channels like this one because i look for ways to apply it in my work. I liked your project management and keeping motivated videos, but i agree on the dev log content too. Also, based on this video, lose the background music or lower the volume, makes it harder to hear the important stuff 😂
Thanks for letting me know what you enjoy on the channel, and the tip about the music. This is actually my first time adding music to a video (since I recently got access to a library of music I can use) so I'll keep adjusting it.
I'd love to see more project management content! I think that's a subject I don't see very often on youtube. It could be a great factor to help game devs as I feel the biggest problem we indie devs face is not finishing things. Being able to efficiently break up a project into manageable chunks is a great skill on continually working on a project. I've also always thought that mindset is a good topic that should be talked about more in the game development sphere. I've struggled with that on my journey. Looking at the game development process as a sprint and not a marathon. Shirking responsibilities and mental health care for the sake of doing more work on my game. I found that it wasn't good for my life OR my game.
@@kingwrightdev Noted! I think videos like that are very important, and I have some project management videos in their early stages. You reminded me of some ideas I had for mindset videos, too! Appreciate the feedback 🙂
I'll personally would really be interested to see you document the creation of a game, from start to finish, where you apply the different skills you are explaining. Of course just an idea for the channel.
Thanks for letting me know! I definitely am planning to make some devlogs, and since I haven't created one yet it is great to see that there is interest in content like that. Thanks! 😊
Be sure to let me know if there's something you'd like to see from the channel! 😊
