- This British commercial for Toys R Us was broadcast in December 1987, just two years after the chain launched in the UK. It featured some of the toys that kids of the eighties would be hoping that Father Christmas would be leaving them in the not too distant future. The toys were My Child Doll, the Nintendo Entertainment System with R.O.B. and Super Hair Barbie.

What Is This Toys"R"Us Location I'm A Fan Of Toys"R"Us
You know, I'm disappointed that there weren't more Toys R Us adverts here in the UK with the "I don't wanna grow up" jingle/ theme. Don't get me wrong, as a 90s kid, NOTHING will beat the "Magical Place" adverts for me, but I think they should've gone back to the "I don't wanna grow up" themed adverts after "Magical Place" was dropped in the early 2000's. I remember the Toys R Us adverts getting really boring in the 2000's here in the UK lol.
