"unknowingly you begin to loose your value. People start to see you as the errand boy, but they never compensate you for the same" That hit me hard! I've just began my journey on learning to say no and it has brought a lot of friction especially with the older generation...thanks for bringing that out.

Without these experiences you wouldn’t have a book to write, you wouldn’t be the same man that you are, hind sight it might have molded you into the best father for your kids, a role model and an author. You must look at these lessons as a contributing factor to where you are now as a person!

Maybe coz I really wanted to go to America and never got a clue of how to go about it, then I ended up getting a civil service job during the time they were being called 'civil sufferers '
In the same 20 years, I wouldn't think he has lost coz there are many who remained in Kenya, had a decent salary and still have not made much out of their experience, of which they can't even write a book.
All am saying is, our expectations of what life or a particular opportunity should give us and the reality being below the expectation is what makes the difference.

Thanks for your story. Remember, the dishonesty you to display to employers resonates for generations. We have a reputation of being dishonest. Let's keep it honest always. For our sake, for our children's sake and for all Africans sakes.
