Going to see her on the Hitman Roadshow (the UK leg of that tour) was the thing I wanted more than anything else in the world. It was the first opportunity to see her live and I tried everything, lying about my age as you had to be under 18 and I was 21. You couldn't buy tickets, only win them in competitions. The closest I got was a competition on Radio Viking. I rang with the correct answer to their question but was told that I couldn't have a ticket because I lived outside the listenership area of the station. Missing out on that tour upset me so much that it still affects me now even though I've seen her live many times since. 😢
the only reason it sounds so bad is because the sound system itself is awful..u can hardly hear her speak so how can u get a good vocal?.. if u look at hanf on your heart LIVE from Australian tv 1989 u can see how amazing she sounds live even then!
It still upsets me today that I missed out on the UK leg of that tour just because I was born at the 'wrong' time. Being over 18 does not make me any less of a fan and I shouldn't be excluded for it. I've seen her on every UK tour since but nothing will ever make up for missing that one.😫
I remember this when it was shownon TV. All Kylies vocals were replaced with the recorded versions. I can see why! She's not very good here and seems totally out of her depth. Good that she went on to get her act together!
jamiegrifter if you knew anything about sound.. you would know it's the SOUND SYSTEM that's crap. even when she speaks to the audience it's not full quality voice!! look at hand on your heart from countdown Revolution.. she had AMAZING vocals even then. this was just not great sound

Whoops! She's just a tad off key here...........must be a reason for it. This is the only time I've heard her not sound great.
I adore Kylie, but this is awful.
Thank god she took vocal lessons.
